Draft. Dark broanw pour, tan head. Robust roastiness, not too sweet, barrel, not horirble, but strong. jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - APR 26, 2015
On tap at the brewoub. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malts, lots of sweetness, some notes of coffee, hints of bitterness and dough. Flavor the same. Smooth texture. A cool beer but too sweet for me personally. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - APR 5, 2014
From notes. Draft at kedzie. Loads of coffee, chocolate and caramel. A bunch of dark fruit in there also. Warming. Very good. kaser (6214) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Had this in a 10oz tulip glass at revolution. Black with frothy off white head. Light creamy aroma. Weird camel sweet and creamy taste. Haven't tasted a porter like this. Thick. I think I like it? Christpuncher (3109) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 22, 2014

On tap, pours pitch black with a thick brown head, the aroma was full of dark chocolate and coffee, really rich, the flavor starts off with chocolate and roast and has a nice kick of coffee in the finish as well, balanced, the mouthfeel was full, impressed. Had this at their place in Chicago. All the beer unless noted otherwise were good to very good. Unfortunately this was rated with another program and I can't import my comments. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - NOV 27, 2012
On tap at Kedzie taproom. Pours near black with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, bit of coffee, piney hops, and a touch of fruit. Flavors of deeply roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and good dose of bitter hops. Well built body. Really nice. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 22, 2012
Snifter at the pub. Pours a rich black with a tan ring of a head. Chocolate, roast, charred aroma with a light creaminess. The flavors are balanced really well. Lots of chocolate roast that’s balanced with creamy chocolate and bitterness. Not overly sweet or boozy. Good stuff. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2012
This poured a very dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma was dark roasted malts, brown sugar, lots of alcohol and some dark chocolate. Flavor was very strong and in the fce, lots of residual sugar, though somewhat burnt, and a good amount of alcohol. Solid big beer.
