Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance- The beer pours a deep golden amber color with a little bit of haze. The head of the brew is tiny and fades fast to leave a hint of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of bready and caramel aroma mixed with some fruit sweetness of a tropical fruit nature. Along with these smells comes some notes of a grapefruit hop and a little bit of a doughiness.
Taste- The taste begins with a bready and sweeter taste with the sweeter being mainly of a tropical fruit nature, but also containing some flavors of caramel as well. The sweetness remains strong with some hop flavors later joining the profile. The hop starts out largely as grapefruit, but are joined by some other tastes of a floral and pine nature. IN the end the mix of flavors, leaves one with a rather sweet, and lightly hopped (but smooth) taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel-The body of the beer is thick and chewy for a pale ale and has a lower carbonation. For the sweeter and breadier flavors of the brew the feel is spot on and makes for a quite flavorful and palatable brew.
Overall- This was a tasty, slightly sweeter pale ale. I very much enjoyed this one as it was quite delicious.

On tap on a Chicago River boat tour. Pours a light gold and makes a huge head with good lacing. Smells of wheat and hops. Tastes of caramel and centennial hops. Like it.

On tap @ the brewpub. Light orange, clear, low white head. Ripe soft fruits, light pine, lightly toasty malts. Very good, but I liked the Fist City better. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 7, 2014
5oz on tap at the brewery. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good thicker lace. Medium body. Smooth kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Good tropical fruity hop aroma, light spicy hop... A bigger amount of hop. Light pine, some orange citrus. Light caramel bready malt. Moderate bitter taste, moderate sweet. Good drinkable refreshing hoppy yet balanced pale ale. Ktwse (5471) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2014

Pours slightly translucent honey orange amber with a lacey white head. Aroma brings sweet hops and some grapefruit and a hint of honey. Flavor of citrus hops, suggesting grapefruit, on a balanced dry body that settles well on the tongue, smooth with no hop bite. ben4321 (6739) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 16, 2014
Location: Draft at the brewpub, 7/16/14
Aroma: the nose has some grapefruit/citrus, some caramel, and a little butterscotch
Appearance: The pour is an amber color, some off-white head, and some light lacework
Flavor: The taste is much the same, decent hop notes, malts, and a bit of sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with an okay mouthfeel, average carbonation
This one wasn’t a favorite for me. It is a solid enough example of a style, but just not one that quite hit the mark for my expectations.
