Smooth, rich, dark and full of rich chocolate and bourbon. A nose of warm vanilla with a slight boozy undertone. A sticky, sweet texture and just a pleasure to drink. It was the best beer offered last Saturday at the Half Acre On Photon party, Revolution gets two big thiumbs up from this guy! FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - AUG 16, 2010

A - Dark black color with a large, creamy, foamy, thick, khaki head. Good retention with a thick creamy layer of lace.
S - Good amount of roasted dark and milk chocolate and malt with touches of coffee and caramel. A sweet lactose aroma also comes out, but it isn’t overly strong for a Milk Stout.
T - Similar to the nose with a good balance of sweet lactose and sweet creaminess along with the roasted chocolate and malt. Hints of vanilla also come out. Some roasted coffee and caramel and a touch of earthiness. It tastes somewhere between a typical Milk Stout and a regular stout with a good level of lactose sweetness but also has a touch of a roasted/bitterness to it.
M - Medium body that is a touch thin for the style and ABV but not bad. Good amount of carbonation with a smooth and creamy feel.
D - Very drinkable beer with a great mix of roasted flavors and sweet lactose. Different kinds of chocolate/cocoa flavors come out. Well balanced beer. Alcohol is pretty well hidden, but gives a slight warming.
Notes: A very nice Milk Stout that has a great balance between the sweet lactose aspects and the more bitter roasted chocolate aspects. Definitely worth a try.
Enjoyed on tap at Sheffield’s in Chicago, IL after seeing Will Johnson play @ Schubas. This stuff was exceptionally good. Appearance creamy and pitch black. Aroma of lactose, chocolate, a bit of nuts, coffee, pretty appealing. Taste was fantastic. I didn’t take notes while having this, just remembered this being great. wlajwl (7127) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Aroma is earthy/slightly dry malts and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is earthy/roasted malts, mild nuttiness and a tart/sourish finish. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 29, 2012
GABF. Nice brown pour, creamy head. Aroma has some great chocolate milk notes, lactose sugar, roasted malt takes a back seat. Flavor is sweet, chocolate, sweet, smooth and really good!

Pours black with low light tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Taste is sweet milk chocolate with light coffee finish. Body is medium, creamy with soft carbonation. cernjoh (188) - Ohio, USA - JUL 22, 2015
2015 bottle poured into a snifter. Aroma was faint yet picked up some sweet chocolate. Appearance is dark brown almost black with a one finger light tan head. Taste is a mildly sweet milk chocolate with a very light roasted flavor. Has a milk like presence to it. Palate is very nice with a good balance between overall vicosity and carbonation. Overall one of the top Milk Stouts I have ever had and worth seeking out. Cheers! Newk (299) - - SEP 23, 2012
poured from tap at the brewpub. Poured into a snifter and pours a dark chocolate color with a nice chocolatey head. PhillyCraft (7990) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 5, 2012
well balanced with pungent aromas of malts, milk chocolate, and coffee beans. There is nice depth to it as well.
Full bodied with the feel being the real show. Very smooth and fairly classy as well with flavors of milk chocolate, malts and some roasted notes as well.
This is pretty damn good. It’s been a while since it was on tap and I didn’t fully remember it. Hopefully this sticks around a bit longer.
Bottle, pours a black color with a medium beige head, spotty lcaing patterns. Notes are nice and roasty, with some milk cocoa, sweet malts, candy sugars, and some vanilla bean. Super silky mouth with a good bit of carbonation, awesome aftertaste of smoked nuts, burn sugar, bitter coffee and vanilla sweetness. Pretty earthy overall in flavor. Solid milk stout. big thanks to hoopi, fantastic stuff. High nitro like carb, big lactosey aroma and sweet rich body that finidhes roasty and dry. Extremely drinkable, great great stuff.
