Bottled on Sept. 13, 2017. Coppery golden. Loose eggshell head is quick to subside. Quiet nose of lemon, fennel seed, toasted bread, fallen leaves, and peach. Hints of grape soda, saccharine, wet paper, and alcohol. Tight but prickly carbonation. Flower nectar and peachy esters add layers of vibrancy to the moderately snappy body on entry. A note of wet leaves and a limp papery maltiness quickly sneaks in and hampers the malt structure. Underlying toasted bread struggles to firm things up, though it does impart ample richness. Some perceivable caramelization character as well, which provides a gripping effect while merging with the minerals, though it soon regresses into a basic caramel flavor. Hallertau-derived woody spice and underlying lemon oil brightens things momentarily. Not much malty dynamism to speak of, and certainly no melanoidins. Increasingly noticeable alcohol exacerbates the lack of malt depth by stinging the tongue, and a hint of saccharine and DMS arises late. Nearly cola-like at times, with notes of concord grape. Anticlimactic honeyed tobacco and woody-spicy-lemony hop finish falls off as the saccharine persists. A fairly sterile Festbier that feels like much of its soul has been lost to high levels of filtration. And the malt complexity or refinement just isn’t there. [ Courtesy of Redmuller by Serge ]. Clear medium amber orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, straw, dusty, husks - chaff (agner). Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration, dusty, husks - chaff (agner), pale malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 
DATE: November 12, 2017... OCCASION: a four-day weekend culminates with my last Oktoberfest of the year... GLASSWARE: personalized mug, a gift from one of my soccer players... this pours a pumpkin orange amber body with steady, lazy effervescence... head disperses from a thick, two-finger froth to a foamy quarter-finger off-white ring... first sensation is apple, earthy hop, light caramel, some toasty warmth, and some odd yeasty esters that make for a unique, if not odd, expectation... sips are heavy in the throat, sweet and swift through the mouth... a medium-bodied, easy-drinking mug-lifter that encourages the next sip... caramel is more prevalent in the taste than the aroma, while the earthiness comes across as pear, sweet apple, and toasted bread... finishes sweeter as the glass drains... malty, mellow, and worthwhile as a seasonal--my first Revolution is a diplomatic, friendly meeting... ctipping (2311) - Florida, USA - NOV 8, 2017

Caramel, honey aroma.
Taste is sweet and light, caramel malt, a bit of fruit and toasted malt.
Not bad.....like an Oktoberfest Lite, though.
