Had this on draft at the revolution taproom/brewery. Creamy frothy beer. Much like guiness but better. Really enjoyed it. Nothing special tho ccex (1347) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 15, 2013
On rap at Kedzie brewery. Pours an opaque black with creamy tan head and spots of lacing. I thought I detected the aroma of Vick’s Vapo-Rub at first, but it got much better. Aroma has licorice, chocolate, roasted malts and cream. Body is medium with very little carbonation. Mouthfeel is creamy with a slightly sweet taste. Not too complex, but a solid, asily drinkable stout. Strykzone (7492) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2012
Sampled at the brewpub. Black with a tan head. Nice thick lacing. A muted malty roasty, chocolate nose and flavor. Flavorful for a nitrogen stout. Newk (299) - - MAR 23, 2012
poured from nitro-tap into a pint glass. Pours a medium chocolate color.
Very well balanced with real nice aromas of chocolate, coffee grinds, and roasted malts. Not overly complex, but with good depth and every note hitting right
Really nice medium/full feel. Smooth with balanced flavors of coffee and roasted malts. It’s lacking a slight bit in the middle and not that complex, but the flavors are still quite good
A quality Irish Stout. This was the best stout on tap and it was also the lowest abv as well. Rev did a real damn good job on this one and hopefully it’s around for a while Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2012
Draught at Revolution, Chicago. Black - brown head. Chocolate. Light lactose. Smooth body. Creamy head. Light bread. Licorice. Light smokey. Ok.

A pretty standard and generic dry stout. Only tried a 5 oz pour of it, it is okay. HighWine (959) - Whalezbro, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2012
Tap flight at the brewery. Jet black pour with Adsense beige head consistent with the nitro version of the style. Sweet coffee and cream aroma and flavor. Hops balance out the sweetness nicely without taking over. Moderate mouthfeel. A good St. pattys day special. TheEnemy (564) - Chicago, USA - AUG 24, 2011
On tap at the brewpub -- notes from April 7th, 2011.holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 15, 2011
Pours deep dark opaque brown-black with a thick head that sits on top like a layer of cream. Had to take a few sips to get at the aroma nearly concealed by the thick creamy head; aroma revealed dark roasted grain, some chocolate, and a bit of toffee. Flavor is pretty standard dry-Irish-stout -- bitter, astringent roast grain, coffee-like, a touch of chocolate and maybe a dash of toffee if you look for it. Flavors were a bit muted, not as intense as I’d have expected. Finishes with a medium-full body, creamy palate, and dry astringent roast-grain aftertaste. Fairly underwhelming but done to style.
On tap at RevBrewing. Black body with a tan creamy head. Lots of black patent malt in the aroma and flavor Lightly dry bitter roast finish. I see the dry Irish stout here, there’s a sweet guiness like creaminess, but the roast overwhelms it some. It also makes it more interesting ... But still not that great. 7/4/6/3/14
