Bomber from Julio’s. Pours out a lovely deep amber with a huge frothy tan head that settles to a thick creamy lace. Dark roasty aromas with earthy-citrus notes. Flavor is well balanced with fruit and bitterness. fraternie (1011) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 28, 2015
Smooth and balanced throughout, with deep roasted caramel malt flavors and burnt toast notes that aren’t overly sweet, showing a hint of grapefruit above and underbelly of spicy hops. Abv covered well as spiciness lingers. wlajwl (6885) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - OCT 27, 2015
Aroma is fruit, mild spices, a hint of sweetness and hops. The flavor is light grapefruit, medium sweetness/sugar, hops, malts and a dryish/bitter/alcohol finish. arminjewell (9687) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 2, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, clear dark red pour with slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of big pine, orange peel, herbal hops into a nice caramel, toffee, almost dark burnt sugars into a bit of yeast. Taste was a mix of grass, herbs, pine into some slight orange, nice caramel, toast, toffee into some grain, finishing bitter.

Brownish red, murky pour. Short cap with light lace. Aroma is nice mellow and mildish with fresh malts, caramel, hop sweetness, toast bready, light fruit notes. Taste is sweet caramel toasty dry bready malt and hops of fruit citrus, grapefruit, some minty pine in the finish. Little bit of booze on the end. Not usually into imperials but red ipa is my favorate style, although not boozy its a bit more boozy than I prefer or borderline. Its in strong ale style though but mixed like a red ipa. Poured from 3 bombers into a pint glass, looks red with hardly any foam. The first drink sets one back a bit, very strong. After a few drinks becomes sweet, couple more drinks the hops come through. After 2 bombers the major buzz begins to rear its head, and while one the 3rd bomber i declare this beer complex. 8.3% is serious business handle with care. cernjoh (183) - Ohio, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Poured from a bomber into a Revolution pint glass.. Aroma is of grass and straw. Appearance is a clear red amber with a small off white head.that dissipates quickly. Taste is great of sweet grass hops and grapefruit. Palate is good with just the right amount of carbonation. Overall I loved this beer. Suggest you try this if you have not. I will be picking up more of this fine beer. Cheers! fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Poured from a bomber into a Revolution Brewing pint glass copper with a light beige head and hung around.
Aroma is sweetly caramel with a touch of hops.
Flavor reminds me of Christmas toffee with a pine tree chaser.
Terrific brew. So outstanding!! kkleu357 (634) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 23, 2014
Medium dark brown reddish body. Fairly hop forward aroma with a slight bread smell. Sweet tasty bread flavor with a good hop punch. Very good.
