22 oz. bottle. Pours a rich dark brown with a nice creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, pumpernickel bread, mild spice, some molasses and hot cocoa. Flavor is roasty and sweet, with mild bitterness and rye, with sweet bakers and dark chocolates. Medium, creamy body, average carbonation. Finishes roasty with mild sweet chocolate notes. A solid stout. AWISLguy (3283) - Wisconsin, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Bomber from ck1, thanks bro! Pours a very, very dark brown with a tan head without any real lace ever showing. Aroma has sweet chocolate, heavy roast and molasses. Taste is of cocoa, bakers chocolate, spicy rye and coffee, with some nice caramel maltiness. Medium to full bodied and quite dry. Finishes somewhat short, and roasty bittersweet. This got better and fuller down through the glass.
