Delicious with strong coffee notes. Not lacking for flavor and character. Breathe deep when drinking and enjoy. DoublEE (782) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Can’t say enough good things about this beer, I hope it’s one I’ll be able to drink again. Worth stopping by for if you like a hoppy stout.

Enjoyed on tap at Goose Island Stout Fest 2012 in Chicago, IL. This was fantastic. Appearance is pitch black with a rich off white head. Aroma of strong yeast and hops presence, more hoppy than anything else, which was welcome after drinking a ton of dominating/un-hoppy beers. Taste equal parts hops and chocolate which is unique, taste its pretty good, tad bitter, but thoroughly enjoyable. Great stuff! kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Can't believe I've never seen this. Poured from 22 oz bottle. Jet black with no head. Nutty chocolate aroma. Delicious black IPA / stout hybrid. Rich flavor. Hoppy. Great balance. wlajwl (6812) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 22, 2016
Aroma is roasted malts and a complex mix of fruit, bubblegum and funky. The flavor is roasted malts, fruit, mild sweetness, hops and a very funky finish.

Tap flight at the brewery. Wasn’t sure what to expect. I generally don’t like black IPAs. Even though this is a stout, it has been compared to black IPAs. Amazingly floral and citrussy nose that reminds me of Fruity Pebbles cereal. Taste is similar. Unlike a lot of roasty black IPAs, the hops are forward in this brew and they are delicious. Fruity Pebbles in the mouth with just a hint of roasted malt in the background. Not astringent at all. Medium high lacing and a moderate palate. A nice surprise and a great beer . Hoppy yet very well balanced. The hoppy bitterness mixes well with the roasted malt. A great version of an American stout. Worth seeking out.

A: Wow, huge grapefruit and mango citrus - chocolate covered orange peel, subtle roasted malts and coffee A: Pours a dark brown and sits pitch black with a creamy mocha head - great lacing and retention T: Very bitter and surprisingly refreshing. Big citrus hops, bitter dark chocolate and coffee, and subtle caramel P: Pretty active carbonation, medium body. Smooth and refreshing O: The hops hide almost all stout character, but it works really well, however, doesn’t warm well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone AdamChandler (5052) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - APR 1, 2013
Thanks Adam. Enjoyed at 55F in a Cantillon Wine glass. No head even on a vigorous pour. Poured like BCBS, oily but yet only 7.5%! Nose is fruity like tangerines and raisins with some dark chocolate. Taste is nice. Drinks like a stout with the hoppiness of an IPA and the mouth feel of a porter. The texture of this at such a low ABV is just interesting. It’s a great beer and the galaxy hops are so easy to pick out and so delicious. XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - JUL 5, 2012
Has a rather light scent up coffee, but then chocolate and pine starts to come into the scent. Taste is an awesome chocolate and coffee roast with some smokey character and booze kick. Quite a complex and interesting brew.
