On tap at the Kedzie location. Pours a near clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grapefruit with some underlying earthy citrus and a bit of sweet grain. Flavor has citrus throughout with a bit of sweet grain backed by a hi t of grapefruit bitterness. Draft at Rev. Pours a slightly hazed deep gold with a frothy white head. Nose is citrusy and tropical, well integrated with the soft yeast notes. I dig the restrained yeast. Taste is juicy with a medium bitterness. Grassy and citrusy with a woody bitterness to it that I really like. Probably fermented on the cooler side due to the restrained phenol and light sulfur. Has a really nice citrus hop scent and pours a nice golden color with a lacing head. Taste has a nice bitterness, I think get an off after taste from the Belgian mix.

Sampled at the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest 2012 - Pours clear yellow with a white head. The aroma has lots of citrus and grapefruit hoppiness and a mild amount of malt with a cleanness that isn’t in most Belgian IPAs. It has a medium / light body with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with the clean hoppiness of the aroma with some fruitiness and tropical hops. It has a nice balancing malt presence and Belgian yeast. The finish is quite refreshing. Well done.

Sample from beerfest. Poured a yellow color with a nicer two finger off white head. Aroma was citrus notes, with bread, some lemon zest, and banana notes. Draft on tap at the Kedzie Avenue Brewery (Chicago, IL). This location is growing on me.. Likely the easier/free parking, smaller crowd, and warehouse vibe. With that said, pours a well hazed golden straw hue, yellow glow with a firm haze, frothy offwhite head that dies to a film, laces ok and sticks around. Aromas are gentle Belgian yeast, spice, and dry floral hops. Touches of coriander. Touches of citrus, straw, grass with gentle grapefruit, tropical essence, and firm floral dryness. Initial offers a lighter experience, a touch of dryness and spice grows up front, florals and grass, touches of doughy malts are subtle. Some spice, touch of pepper, and dry earthy and citrusy hops mox into the fold. More pepper, yeast, dry dust and dry grainy cereal malts into the backend. A rich blast of grapefruit and citrus gives some life up front growing into the middle, dying out into a dry yeasty backend, crisp malts. Firm, enjoyable, fairly impressive for a 4.7 beer aside from a more heavy handed yeast element at times. A great sessioner, I think. I bet others will be more inclined to give it a higher score than me.. the Belgian yeast influence gets in my way a bit too easily.. but overall, the American hop profile and strength of it really is a winner. drfabulous (8809) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUN 30, 2012

On tap at the brewpub - Light amber with a thin white head. Nose is juicy citrus with a bit of garlic, light peppery note. Taste is much the same, with more onion coming through. Reminds me of Bedlam. ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 9, 2012
On tap at Brew Pub. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange color with two fingers of white foamy head. Aromas of spices, hops, fresh picked citrus and some florals along with some underlying earthy tones. Taste of bread, yeast, and toasted grains, with more restrained hop flavors. Citrus hops come up in the finish contributing a grapefruit bitterness in the finish along with some tangy yeast. Ample carbonation and lighter bodied.
