Sampled at Revolution. Poured a clear orange amber with an off-white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was a balance of citrus and pine with a slight hint of pine. Flavor was similar with a citrus start and growing pine towards the finish. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2013

Hazy deep golden colour with a small foamy white head.
Strong citrusy and resiny hops and strong bitterness in the aroma. Balanced. Delicious. Wheat, mild yeast, resiny and piney hops and moderate bitterness. Very tasty. Highly drinkable. Wow! I liked this one a lot.
On tap at Revolution. Pours golden with a nice off-white head and a grassy aroma. There is a huge caramel malt flavor with serious hop bitterness. Feels great on the palate.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice glowing orange amber, good fiery glow with haze, small offwhite head dies to a small head, laces small. Aromas are a big blast of grapefruit and peach, mango and juicy fruits with decent florals and citrusy hop bite. Some malty biscuits and bread, pale malts with a light wheaty ester. Initial is medium bodied, a huge peach and grapefruit feel, moderate fruity bitterness, citrus and florals, very juicy with good bitterness and pale and bready. Dry florals and a touch of flaked wheat does indeed peak through. Nice bitterness, good balance, a lot of juicy fruit especially and more sessionable than say other IPAs. Very nice, fresh, "juicy". These Revo IPAs have some great hop flavors. Cheers. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 18, 2014
Cloudy orange pour with white foamy sticky head. Draft at revolution brewery. Tropical fruity hoppy delicious aroma. Mild bitter citrus lemon and grapefruity taste. Lighter than expected. Very good. Poundable Frank (4194) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 1, 2010
I have been to Revolution a few times now and they are always out of their IPA when I drop by so it was nice to get to finally try one and, I must say, I can see why they run out fast. I’d say this is most definitely one of the best I’ve had from them. The color is a cloudy orange golden topped w/ a foamy head of mixed but mostly small bubbles. The lacing lasts in nice sheets. Bright and lemony citrus character w/ earthy bitterness in the finish. Rather dry and mildly astringent. As it warms, a bit of tartness comes out and a nice floral character. Sweetness comes out as well but the vigorous carbonation keeps it nice and drinkable. This is a really solid IPA and one you can drink in quantity. In fact, in these days of ever increasing gravities, a lot of brewers would go ahead and call this an APA. To me, this is a positive as Revolution really packs in a lot of flavor for the gravity. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of lots of citrus, grassy hops, hop oils. Flavor is very citrus with hop oils and wheat malt. Crisp and quite rich in hops. Interesting and tasty IPA!

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2011 Draft at revolution. Pours hazed light golden with white head. A big lemon grass and wheat malt aroma, flavors continue with over powering lemon grass, lawn clippings, wheat malt, and mild orange peel finish. Theres also an obnoxious fizzy carbonation and when combined with the wheat it comes off like a mouth full. This is really an American wheat so why are they calling it an ipa? Would that even sell better? 3.4
7/27/11 draft, 2011 version, this time it comes off more like an IPA with a touch of wheat in the base. pretty solid, nice and refreshing. Not a huge hop bomb but good citrus fruit, grass, and pine going on. really drinkable. 3.7
