Nearly clear orange to dark gold pour with a one finger, soapy o creamy off white head. Aroma is caramel, toast, soapy, floral and citrus notes. Flavor is caramel, sweet cereal, floral, berry, a little cardboard, faint citrus and a hint of herbal/spicy notes. Medium body, creamy to chewy entry, light to medium, blanketing carbonation and off dry, slightly boozy finish. Decent, but plain and sweet IPA, really no rye presence as far as I could tell. This is another tasty IPA from the good folks at Revolution. It’s pretty much clear and orange golden in color w/ a foamy head that lasts a goodly amount of time. The hop character in the nose is all sweet orange peel and peaches but a touch of sweetness seems to bring out some deeper woody pine notes when you taste it. This is a full bodied brewed and this combined w/ that bit of sweetness makes this drink almost like a IIPA or anyway this isn’t one of the most drinkable IPAs on the planet. Still, it’s pretty nicely balanced w/ a good dose of earthy bitterness in the finish and overall it has an enjoyable hop-profile to my taste buds. This maybe isn’t a must try for hop heads but certainly there’s no reason to pass it up if you run into it. miyauchi38 (1117) - chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2015

Bottle thanks to Bruce. Pours a clear orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is floral hop and pine. Medium mouth with strong rye, nice hop bite, lingering dry bitterness, very good. DialSquare (5131) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 21, 2015
Bomber from Weilands in Clintonville. Copper-orange pour with white-ish head. Aroma of rye, herbal, grapefruit. Tastes of grass, earthy, spice, herbal, crackery, rye, juicy. Moderate floral bitter in the finish. Rye heavy not usally my favorite, but w/ Revolution it’s always well balanced and nicely constructed. Really liking this new (to me) brewer. This one is very nice, but not something I’d have to revisit.

Bomber from Antioch Fine Wine shared with Eric. Orange pour with a white head. Aroma has citrus pine and some tropical fruits. Later some tangy grain and a bit of caramel. Taste had spicy rye, grapefruit, pine, and tropical fruits. Some earth and some toffee. Medium bodied and a bit sticky with alcohol. Finishes sweetly fruity and bitter, with length. A bit dry. A solid tasty IPA. 14.8 jmohno (1662) - Iowa, USA - JAN 31, 2015

Crystal-clear amber-gold, relatively thin head. Smell is sweet mango, pineapple, warm grain. Taste is toast, bitter rye/hops, cracker, floral, green vegetal character. Dry, slightly chalky aftertaste. Fizzy and very drinkable. superspak (6015) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUL 7, 2014
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/23/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep gold color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light toast, spicy rye and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with bright citrus/grassy hops with moderate toast/rye malt presence; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light toast, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of grassy/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light toast, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and balance of juicy citrus/grassy hops and light-moderate toast/rye malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice rye IPA. All around good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/grassy hops with light-moderate toast/rye malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
