Draft. Overall good porter. Starts a bit sharp with taste but mellows as it warms to proper temperature. Deep black color, tan head. esjaygee (3902) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 4, 2013
On tap at Revolution. Dark brown with a mahogany ground effects and a creamy tan topper. Aroma of deep dark coffee, burnt malts and some chocolate. Taste is coffee, coffee, coffee with mild chocolate, mild fruits underneath and an acidic astringent finish. rxeight (3337) - Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Tap at the kedzie tap room. Light body pretty carbonated for a porter but packs a lot of roasty and chocolate flavor. crossovert (14153) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 10, 2013
This one was super light for a porter in body but wow it has a roasted/smoke element that makes you wanna drink more and more. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Draft on tap at the Milwaukee Avenue Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours aricher deep brownish black hue, more brown, a firmly hazed body and middle. Touch of copper brownish glow on the edges and bottom. Cakey frothy brownish head stays as a firm layer, laces well. Aromas are cocoa, decent roast, a mellow almost smokey husky feel. Touches of roast, caramel, nothing too overbearing but some decent synergy. Initial is medium bodied with cocoa, a bit of caramel, molasses hint. Some oatmeal, coffee, decent roastiness hits the palate. Smokiness is mellow yet quite enjoyable into the middle. Cocoa, gentle sweetness and a medium yet firm body. Some creaminess at times, good roastiness at others. Some ddryness, toast, soda bread. Smoke is mellow but goes a long way in this one, taking over that semi sweet core. Cocoa, toast, smoke roll on. Dryness, some toffee and biscuit give a bit of backbone. Finish cleans up a bit more, decent dryness, toast, and a bit of carmelization stick with that dominant element of cocoa and smoke. Quite drinkable. Nice beer and favorite of this visit.

Tap at Revolution brewpub. Sheety tan lacing atop clear deep brown. Gamey, rich coffee nose. Taste is simple, clean, moderate hazelnut and milk chocolate. Lighter body but not thin or watery. Fiancé loved it. Tangy lemon acid finish. Easy to drink. dinkle50 (1585) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Black pour with an espresso head. Good lace. Taste is sweet with a little roast and a little chocolate. Nice flavor for such a light porter. Hard to dislike this given it was brewed for Jim’s wedding. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAY 27, 2013

A decent porter out of revolution. Pours almost black and has a very chocolatey coffee flavor. Has a nice bitter finish and smells awesome.

Had it on tap at Revolution Brewery. Poured a dark black color with a cream white head ( think Nipsy Russell ), uneven lacing. Great porter aroma with a crisp taste and a smooth finish.
