Growler from the Logan Square brewpub. Dark caramel brownish pour, very nice clarity, big creamy off-white head with exceptional retention. Nose is toffee, roast nuts and toasted pumpernickel. Mouth is medium bodied, toffee, dark bread, cocoa, nuts. Very nice mild. I just finished the growler and could easily drink drink another. marcus (10668) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 11, 2015
On tap at Revolution. Pours dark brown with a modest beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a sourish caramel malt flavor with a bitter finish. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 2, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish brown pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of bread, toast, some red fruits into a bit of cocoa, slight earthy notes with a slight grassy note. Taste was a mix of cocoa, toast, bready notes into a bit of red fruit, hints of earth, finishing slightly bitter. Pretty nice. MartinT (10036) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 20, 2014
My Bottom Line:Lubiere (14150) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 17, 2014
Caramel, earthen truffles and toasted cereals move into minerals and leafy hop bitterness in this lean Dark Mild.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam laces around the gleaming ruby brown.
-Fruity angles are also found.
-This is not sweet at all; just lots of clean malt flavors and balancing hops.
-Carbonation could be softer (this one deserves a handpump too!).
On tap at the Milwaukee Avenue location.
A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet nutty caramel malt with grassy hops, light brothy character, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light nutty notes, grassy hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. On tap at Revolution Milwaukee location.

5oz pour at the Revolution brew pub pours a transparent, caramel amber with some cloudy, white head. Nose has malty notes, toffee, a little loose leaf tea. Flavor has more nutty character to it, toast, still some tea, coffee, brown bread crust. Crisp finish. DuffMan (10664) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 21, 2014
On tap @ the brewpub. Old penny copper hue, thin beige head. Caramel and cereal, just a touch if ash, toasty. Comforting. A terrific mild. Christpuncher (3251) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 9, 2014
