Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is pretty weak, with some biscuity malts and piney, grassy hops. The flavor has a bitterness that is fine, but there’s also some biscuity and grainy notes, and citrus zest. Medium body, soft carbonation, pretty dry. Bitter, citrusy finish. Nothing wrong with this one, but it’s pretty boring. Quenching though. 140228

500ml bottle. Slightly hazy copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus and marzipan. Flavours of toffee, brandy snap, citrus and peat, slightly foisty. Plenty of malt and just about enough bitterness to offset the toffee. Not bad but not brilliant.

DruncanVeasey (8283) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2013
Cask handpull, The Prince of Wales, Hinckley, 05/11/13. Nose mint seaside rock and sour yeast. Soft and sour with dominant toothpaste and humbug. Out there weird. Dank cereal. Metallic and not on top form.

Bottle. Dull golden brown with a thin foam. Aromas are toffee with mixed spices and lemon. Citrus rind with woody, nutty notes and floral coriander. Flavours are biscuit and toffee with earthy, leafy notes. Nutty with herbal aspects and bittersweet grapefruit. Nice.

Bottle from Theatre of Wine, Greenwich. Vanilla, pear and light malt aroma. Vanilla and light citrus flavour. Long malt linger. Quite bitter-sweet. Not bad.
