Clear ruby copper under a thin foamy light beige head. Big sticky resinous hop nose with vibrant pine and caramel and dank resins. Crisp smooth flavor that’s bright and malty but bitter and dank and floral and piney. Big and lingering with sweetness and booze and bitter resins.

Draft at GABF 2016 with Paul and Larry. Pours a deep orange amber body with thick lace. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, rich and syrupy with notes of maple, sweet malt, brown sugar and butterscotch. Pure malt bomb.

picked up at a local DFW metroplex premium rip and run. enjoyed in my hotel room (as so many are these days) out of the supplied dixie cup. pours amber with a off white head that leaves a nice cap. nose is minimal. Taste has some soapy malts, pine, resin, solid bitterness. some toast. bitterness and resin linger on the palate slightly. body is medium to full. dry finish.

651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, light beige head with some lacing, over a clear dark copper (SRM 19) body......nose is pine, resin, slight citrus notes, with toasted malts, with slight toffee/caramel, no esters, balanced.......taste is quite sweet with toffee/caramel notes, light toasted malts with mild biscuit notes, becoming moderately bitter, with pine, resin notes, no esters, balance to the moderate bitter hops......mouth feel, medium body, moderate alcohol burn, moderate carbonation, with light creaminess and mil acid. The malt backbone is relatively simple, and could use a moderate re-work. Also it is described as an English I/DIPA, but the hops are a bit too American. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6

Copper color with a medium off-white head. Floral, piney aroma with a hint of fruit. A tad sweet up front with a bitter finish. Smooth, almost creamy feel, noticeably strong for 9% ABV. Good.

deyholla (12583) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours a clear amber red with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice pine note with some resin, a touch of grass and a slight sweet grain backbone. Flavor combines the sweet grain backbone well with bitter pine, resin and a bit of grass.

On tap at Texas Brewvolution. Amber brown brew with a creamy off-white head. Nose of caramel and bready malts with some sweetness and citrus hops. Great mix of hop punch and deep malts. This is great!
