EBF. Pours a clear brown amber with a thin tan head. Warm booze and yeast, banana. Long warm roast, toasty banana. RRistow12 (1007) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - SEP 10, 2017
Tasted from bottle. Pours a dark brown with tan head. Overly carbonated as it was a bit of a gusher. Big red wine aroma with some dates, bourbon and molasses notes. Moderate to heavily sweet. Flavors of red wine, bourbon, dates, raisins, brown sugar, berries. Pretty complex and interesting beer.

22 ounce bottle. Sticky. Boozy. Dark cola looking pour. Carbonation quickly fades. Barrel takes over here. Needs more body. Ok. bubblehouse (1638) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 21, 2016
The wine barrell aging really comes through in the nose. Pretty dark and easy to drink. hayduke (5757) - Eureka, California, USA - MAR 4, 2016
This was sampled at GABF. In the tasting glass a dark amber with a thing off-white cap of form. Nose is dark fruit, either prune or raisin, or maybe both Some bourbon too. Full body. Alcohol in the mouth feel. l Flavor is rich with dark fruit and barrel aging good proportion. Finishes with bitterness and bourbon. Almost too much. But I liked it.
