Draft at Rhinegeist. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, grass, citrus, light resiny notes, mild spice with mild plus bitterness. Interesting wheat beer and worth trying. Patrickctenchi (6862) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - OCT 4, 2013
Clear, brassy gold, white head.
Wheat, grass scent.
Mildly floral...grassy taste.
A bit hoppy.
A little plain. Maddog (528) - Kettering, Ohio, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Draft at the brewery. A decent American wheat, but compared to Gumballhead, it falls short. Light, crisp, grassy, but it lacks in hop flavor. drsordr (2984) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Growler sample at Natifest 2013. Pour clear yellow. Nose of floral and pine hop. Taste some of the hop up front, followed by malted wheat. Not much spice in the finish. Clean beer, but slight muted on the finish. JStax (7453) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Poured on draft at the source. Poured a darker copper with a white head of foam. Aroma is grassy, herbal, and citrusy. Tastes wheaty and a touch bitter. Good stuff.

7/31/2013: Rhinegeist Spikelet... Aroma: Fresh, grassy and floral hops. Appearance: Hazy, golden color with a frothy off-white head. Flavor: Toffee malt with a wheaty lightness to it; mild to moderate bitterness that’s a bit muted, but is grassy and has some pine and citrus peel; strong finish. Palate: Medium-bodied; smooth with a slightly slick texture. Overall: Decent IPA; I didn’t think it was that great at first, but it’s quite sessionable and is growing on me.
Draught (pint) at Arnold’s in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rating #8 for this beer.
On tap at the brewery. Pours a light golden with minimal head. Hoppy nose with a nice hoppy taste. Solid hoppy wheat ale that makes a refreshing sessionable beer.

Pint at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus, wheat, sweet fruits. Flavor of pale malts and plenty of grassy, garlicky hops, light citrus. This is a light hoppy wheat IPA. Yum!

On tap. Keg filled 6/24/13. Mildly hazy golden orange color. Thin white head, pretty good retention. Some loose splotches and ropes of lace. Good citrusy and bready nose. Hoppy for a wheat ale, for sure, but also tasty for that reason. Light pine, citrus, light grass, hint of mint. Some bready, lightly biscuity malt. Moderate to stronger bitter taste, light sweet. Wheat IPA, basically. Medium-plus body. Smooth, lightly crisp lighter carbonation, more dry finish. Not really what you’d expect from a wheat ale, but it’s tasty stuff, if you like-a da hop.
