Solid American IPA that doesnt fade out in second glass. Id like a slightly more oily mouthfeel but Im not complaining. Solid choice

3/12/2017: Ive had quite a bit of Rhinegeist Truth, but apparently never rated it and this was the most recent occasion that I had a can of it. Truth was the best of Rhinegeists debut offerings and it probably still its best mainstay beer. Lots of pine and citrusy hops, fairly aggressive bitterness, hints of tropic fruits. HOWEVER, this beer is not what it once was. The hops arent as punchy and the toasty caramel maltiness seems to show through more. In addition, there seems to be consistency/quality issues because I have had two pints on draft and a can lately that have been really NOT GOOD. Not sure if this is because the beer itself has changed or just general overall increase in production. Overall, Truth is still a solid beer, but look for FRESH cans and dont expect anything truly amazing from the beer. Its good, but there are better options these days...

Delicious IPA on tap at Wexord Pub. Aroma was good. Fresh cut grass and green hops. Pour was a nice hazy medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was nice and hoppy. One of he better IPAs Ive had. Lots of grapefruit, pine and bitterness in the front. Small notes of mango but luckily thats in the distance. Nice strong biting bitter finish. Strong carbonation. Love these old school IPAs that dont go overboard with the melon and mango garbage.

Tap. Light brown lots of lace. A solid citrus pine forward IPA with medium bitterness and an earthy body.
