0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Reddish brown color. Sweet worty, toffeish and nutty aroma with hint of dark fruits (dates). Toffeish and nutty taste with some licorice and hint of coffee. Medium body. OK dunkel.
Clear mahagony coloured beer with a big, rocky, medium to short-lasting, brownish head. Aroma of sour red berries, herbal hops, brown cake, roasted malt, wort, tobacco. Taste is a bit thin, roasted malt and tobacco, some fruitiness in the middle part and in a dry finish, medium sweet and light bitter overall. Lasting bitterness in aftertaste. Light to medium body, oily texture, average carbonation WillemsUrenkel (1818) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAR 9, 2016
0,5 l bottle. Dark brown and clear in the glass. Two finger foamy light beige head. Low malty nose. Taste is malty. Low grainy, low hop in the background. Little bit dry and some sourness. But not a lot. Okay. anstei (2169) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JAN 18, 2016
Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. The deScription advertises this beer as mild, and yes, it is. One could also call it boring instead. Mind you, it’s not bad, just an ordinary Schwarz. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 19, 2015
50cl bottle, picked up at Bierzwerg, where it pours out with a clear amber colored body that supports a brief but tidy tan head. The aroma offers up chocolate malts, dark roasted malts, a bit of caramel malts and then and a little yeasty spicy lager notes. The taste delivers a pleasant array of maltiness like chocolate malts, dark roasted malts, some caramel malts and then a bit of spicy black licorice. To midway its gets a little mineral like just as the mild sweet malts bubble to the surface. Pretty nice. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - SEP 12, 2015
bottle from Bierzwerg. Brown with a mids-ized off-white head. Malty with some caramel and nuts, bitter-sweet overall character.
