Cask, Highcross, Leicester. Golden brown with a white foam. Aromas are caramel, grain and butter with some peachy fruit. Light lemon with bready yeast. Flavours are sweet biscuit and caramel malts with mellow lemon and a slightly peppery finish. A pretty standard golden ale.

Beese (3209) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2014
Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 6 Nov 2012. Poured a hazy copper, with a scummy white head. Aroma was light; some malt, sugary water and spruce. Caramel sweetness in the flavour, with dried fruit and grass. Finish was corn, some herbal and estery notes.

downender (8882) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013

Finn (8130) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Crosse Keys, Bank 5 Nov 12. JDW festivaløl. Mørk gyldenbrun. Litt skum. Svak fruktaroma. Vassen smak. Antydning til plommer men svak på det meste.

ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 4, 2012
Golden ale with a malty toffee nose, but more caramel extracts in its taste.

Rune (13494) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 2, 2012
One-half pint, festival cask ale at JDWs Crosse Keys. Bubbly layer at the top of a near-clear, amber body. Spiced fruity nose. Lemony hops in flavour supported by mild spices. Dried fruit bitter sending. Ok, on par with the style (London, 05.11.2012).

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2012
Cask at JDW. This emerges as a bright copper with a good head. Malty and surprisingly thick, this has some nice toffee flavours and hints of fruit around the edges, but doesn’t leave much of a lasting impression. It’s decent but just too staid.

DruncanVeasey (8283) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2012
Cask handpull, The Felix, Nuneaton, 17/11/12. Smear of chocolate and aniseed on digestive biscuit. Abrasive bitter linger. Mid-brown, slicked copper. Weak Allsorts and aniseed aroma. Not great.

stravale (3135) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - NOV 16, 2012
