3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled @ Edmonton Craft Beer Festival. Bright orange colour, nice floral hoppy nose. Soft palate, peachy caramel, light citrus, mild bitterness. This does not pack a hop wallop punch, but it is a very pleasant little session beer, nicely balanced, clean.
Pours a hazy copper with a fair white head that slowly settles, becomes patchy and leaves some lace. Aroma is citrus, sweet caramel malts, pine, and floral notes. Flavour is resin, pine, fruity, citrus and sweet caramel malts. This is a solid following to the first beer, nice work. Reimer96 (1778) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 19, 2013
Pours a clear amber with a white head. Aroma of pale malts, grass, pine and slight citrus hops. Taste is orange, resin, sweet pale malts and a nice dry and balanced bitter finish. Very smooth for a 7.5 abv beer. Ferris (16696) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 14, 2013
Draft - Fruity and sweet nose. Orange with a thin head. Sweet fruit and a mellow bitterness that ends clean. Nice try for a new lager player. A good entry level IPA

Draught at Underground. Golden with light haze (the light here sucks). One finger of white head, kinda creamy, falls of to a tight ring in the glass. Good looking sheets of lace all over the glass. Nose has caramel malts and light floral and citrus, not very intense. Taste has sweet caramel with light floral and citrusy hops. Late note of grassy and grapefruity type bitterness that is fairly nice. Overall, okay. Pretty soft mouthfeel, and easy to drink, no notice of the 7.5% abv. Could be more intense, but not too bad.

So a new brewery from alberta trying to do an IPA.... how can I resist this soon to be disapointment? Dull amber body with slight haze, nice creamy cap on top. And the disapointment has set in..... first sip came across realy sweet with a strange hop profile. What hop is this????? The smell is a smell I never smelt before. Aroma is reminding me of sweetish beeries ( the red ones not blue ) hints of sweet juice drying on a picknic table, and a touch of running shoe. Aroma realy not that bad its just strange for the style. Taste is same, very sweet with a lingering bitter finish. I want to invent a new style for this brew and call it the " The candied IPA ". What is that flavor turning me off here? I want to say vegtable soupbbut I know thats wrong. Not a complete fail but a D at best. Keep trying guys you’ll get it right some day.............. some day................................... reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 20, 2013
Pint on tap at the Underground Tap and Grill in Edmonton pours a slightly hazy pale amber orange color with a small white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light caramel with some pleasant floral notes. Taste is a malty and fruity sweetness with a mild citrus hop bitterness. Light to medium body with average carbonation. A pleasant easy drinking IPA that is not a brew for true hopheads, more of a starter for novice beer drinkers.
