COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
John Paul Jones served his apprenticeship on vessels from Whitehaven and it was because of his intimate knowledge of the town that he decided to raid it in 1778. Jones is recognised as the founding father of the US Navy and when he left the a few years later, he was taken on by Catherine the Great in Russia to found the Russian navy. In 1999 John Paul Jones was pardoned in Whitehaven, in a ceremony attended by the Russian ambassador and the US Navy. With a hop mix that gives the beer a berryfruit character with berry aromas and a balanced bitterness, while the malt blend gives the beer a slight caramel undertone.
