On tap. Clear light amber, no head. Flavors are sweet malts, corn and caramel with garbage and sulphuric notes. Light body, moderate carbonation, watery texture.

341 ml bottle from a four-style Rickards twelve-pack from Sobeys Liquor outlet (and it came with a free T-shirt - go, me!), served in a pilsner flute, Pours a beautiful bright gold with moderate carbonation and a white, meringue-like head that leaves bubbly lace loops. Aroma is composed of lightly toasted malt and herbal, even woody, hops that are a bit peppery; flavor is much the same...softly expressed malts and hops, just sweet enough, and a trace of pepper. Thin-bodied, with a clean finish. Compared to other OG pilsners from guys like Urquell or Radeberger, its key elements are weak or muffled, but its still very pleasant drinking from a subset of a larger brewer, and that commands respect from me. Nice!

As far as Rickards goes, this is one of their top 3 offerings (best of the worst? lol). Pours a light straw blonde, tastes of wheat and some light, grainy malts. Not a bad beer but I am not a huge fan of Rickards or Pilseners.

Bottle from the mixed pack. Man this is a popular mixed pack if there ever was one. Straw gold pour with a frothy cream head. Faint grainy nose has fruit and grassy hops. Slightly bitter with some grainy sweetness. Its pretty standard but not offensive or poorly made. Ill drinm it at a christmas function and be ok with it.

Aroma: Notes of traditional Euro malts. 1 finger of white head. Clear golden in colour. Well balanced taste with a pleasent hoppy finish. Not too bad lacing.

341 ml bottle. Clear golden yellow, sturdy white foam head slowly settles and lasts. Aroma of sweet grainy malts, faintly floral. Mildly sweet lager malt taste, a little grassy, more bland than bitter. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Decent macro lager. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
