1 pt 9 fl oz bottle thanks to brewfiend! Pours black with a little brown head. Roasted malt aroma, slight chocolate, dried fruit and whiff of liqourice. Light to medium body. Dried fruity flavour with an underlying and persisting malt flavour. Finish is malt dry, not much bitterness just a lasting malt flavour. Nice with a not too heavy stout which has it’s benefits. Bottled. A very very dark brown beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and some bread. The flavor is quite sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, alcohol, and prunes, leading to a dry roasted and woody finish. joergen (28106) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2007

Bottled. Black beer with huge beigeish brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, licorice, slightly wooden and also caramelly. Once it warms up some roasted malts and wood also become present. Flavour is mildly roasted malts, big time smoked wood as well as some mild bitterness. Rather sweet flavour overall. Hides the alcohol well in the flavour, but gives a little warming kick when drinking. omhper (25108) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2008

Opaque dark brown beer with a tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth with light minerally carbonation. Smooth dark malts, no roast or bitterness but there is nice dark chocolate and decent dark malt cream. Whisper of smooth coffee. Light smooth finish. Decent stout this, smooth and very drinkable.
