Bottle from Bier Huis.
Pours orange, thick gloopy, orange, no head really, probably the most viscous I’ve ever seen a brew be. Smells like a Christmas Pudding. Dark Fruits, Raisins, Plums, Caramel, Toffee. Like drinking Treacle, its that thick. Initial plums, cherries, raisins, caramel, toffee, port, blackberries, touch of fizz, very fruity. Breadiness too. Very good. Reddish brown body and very small head. Very punchy, strong fermentation aromas, fruits, concentrated sugar. Very sweet, luscious, delicious too. Overdone and I an loving it. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière) guzgorog (844) - FRANCE - JAN 21, 2015

11.2 ounce bottle, 2013 vintage, label stamp says best before 16 09 23. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a clear orange/amber color with maybe a quarter inch off-white head that didn’t stay around for very long. There’s a decent amount of lacing. The aroma starts off boozy, with some toffee, candied oranges, stone fruit and some caramel malt noticeable. The taste is mainly sweet and boozy, it tastes like dried fruit (stone fruit and dark fruit), booze, and bready malt. The booziness just seems worse the longer I drink this, and unfortunately so does the overall flavor of this brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s syrupy and coating with moderate carbonation. This isn’t bad, but it wasn’t exactly good either. Maybe it needs more age on it, who knows. It’s worth trying once, but I likely wouldn’t buy this again. This seems to be sold as something of a novelty but what do I know. It is orange w/ a small head. Its nose is kind of spicy, fruity w/ a touch of ginger and pear. It is a bit piny and very sweet and quite heavy across the palate. I wouldn’t say this is horrible but I do not honestly see myself ever drinking it again intentionally. daniele (9021) - ITALY - DEC 25, 2014

Bottle from the Bottle Bank.
Appearance - amber with a thin head.
Nose - rich orange but the malt in the background has just a hint of cardboard coming from it - all the same, inviting.
Taste - orange blossom honey.
Palate - rich and full bodied with a big rich texture and and sweet but still fairly balanced finish.
Overall - it’s a big beast and it’s enjoyable. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - DEC 22, 2014
11/7/2012. From bottle. Light orange color with a white head. Sweet boozy aromas with caramel, dried fruit and yeast. Sweet, sticky flavors, oily texture, boozy and out of balance.
