What’s up with all those low ratings? This is not a pretentious beer. Good value for a English pale ale. Appareance, perfect for what it is. Aroma, almonds and nuts. Not oily though. And well, I know, not the best palate, not the best balance, but this is a good beer for what is. All of you rating it with low notes, is not a damn mikkeller!

Aroma is caramel, malt, toffee, sweet, pudding, slight metallic, slight bitterness. Appearance is amber, off white head, somewhat hazy. Taste is caramel, metallic, malt, toffee, earthy hops, ab unbalanced mess. Mouthfeel is light body, light, bubbly but not crisp or spritzy, carbonation, with a strange metallic caramel aftertaste. Overall, this one is quite a mess.

Bottle. Amber Gold in colour. Malty; toasty bready malts. Hoppy; grassy hops. Fruity; mildly citrus fruity. Good malt/hop/fruit balance. Sweet malts balanced by mildly bitter hops. Easy drinking. (2011-09-21)

Borup (15165) - Albertslund, DENMARK - OCT 22, 2016

MiP (15960) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 25, 2016
Bottle, 5.2% at KØ16. Mild fruity aroma. Clear golden colour. Small white hed. The flavour is fruity with a good isotonic mouthfeel. Very low bitterness.

NallePalle (690) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2015
Bottle, 355 ml, Buddy’s, Uppsala. Overall pleasant, well balanced. Burnt sugar in aroma. Actually not that bitter finish.

rondphoto (4490) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - SEP 10, 2015
bottle @ Sergio’s / Louisville KY --- Clear medium amber color, frothy ivory head, splashes of lace. Aroma of malt and floral hops. Taste is crisp malt that adds carbonation on the swallow, then is joined by floral hops in a long finish. Both malt and hops are done with discretion, while continuing to have enough flavor to satisfy. A solid mild English ESB.

Fra flaske (bb. 290513) på RBHD-treff hos OG: lett uklar gylden med kort hvitt skum. Mynteaktig aroma med sjokoladesnev, her nevnes After Eight. Tørr bitterhet og tørr ttersmak, smakte egentlig gammelt og ufriskt. Må prøves i frisk utgave en gang, og gjerne before eight.

gunnar (9456) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 3, 2015
Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours almost clear dark golden with a tiny white head. Aroma is nice, inviting flowery hops. Taste is moderate sweet earthy and cellar malts. Weak dry finish.

abemorsten (3652) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - MAR 3, 2015
Shared bottle at RBHD gathering, March 2015. Misty deep golden body with an off-white film. Minty chocolate and wooden and earthy notes on the nose. Sharp carbonation. Dry, metallic with earthy notes. Light to medium bodied. Overdue with a best before date in 2013.

Holmen2 (3940) - NORWAY - MAR 3, 2015
Shared bottle at RB/HD at OGJ’s 03.03.15. Golden. Off-white head. Mint-chocolate in aroma. Also in taste, combined with hops and fresh fruits. Good drinkability, particularly after eight.
