Bottle from coldbrewky, no freshness info, poured into a pint glass.
Deep amber with tan on the edges, no head what so ever. Nose has nut, light smoke, caramel. Taste is wonderfully complex with the the same as the nose minus the nut, add flower. Mouth is medium bodied and creamy. Yum.
Shared 500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with an initially fizzy light beige head. Aroma of malt, hints of smoke, caramel. Taste is malt, smoke, burnt wood, and some unpleasant, unidentifiable flavor that ruined the beer for me, despite an aroma that had some potential. Did not finish. darbeer75 (887) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - JAN 8, 2017
Aroma: lots of smoky malt, but not too overwhelming; Appearance: extremely dark amber but a clear pour that glows red in the light; fluffy offwhite head that dissipates slowly; Taste: more bitter than expected, smooth, roasty; nice; Palate: heavy body with long, roasty finish; Overall: very pleasant. Probably won’t get again but not bad. ttoadee (1483) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 18, 2016
Deep brown pour, quickly retreating head. Nose is smoky malt, not overpowering. Bittersweet. Middle is soft toffee, coco, and oaky malt. Finish is medium sweet and long. nybol (1765) - DENMARK - FEB 1, 2016
Smager ikke meget af porter men en lille smule af røg. Den kunne godt have mere dybde da den svinder under indtagelse. BiddleBrau (1221) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2015
Taphouse 41. Very dark brown with disipating off white head. Smokey and malt sweetness in nose. Root beer comes to mind then the roast and smoke comes in. Thinner palate. The soda quality is throwing me.

330 ml Bottle - Smooth Thick taste on the palate, with smokey barrel aged aromas like coffee. imdownthepub (14470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2015
Bottled, 500ml from S.H.Jones in Banbury. Reddish brown with beige head. I did pick up a slight smokiness in the aroma which was followed by a peat bonfire note. There was also a sweet vegetable character, quite earthy, boiled malt flavours. Mixed but ok. 47574xeCD (1123) - Coventry, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2015
330ml bottle at home.
Poured a deep dark ruby with a very thin tan head that soon dissipated.
Immediate smokey aroma, hints of smokey, toffee, cocoa.
A good smoked porter. minutemat (5418) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2014
330ml bottle from, well, I have no idea. Stuck at the back of the shelf for God knows how long and now its day has come. Very nice aroma, smokey woodchips with some cocoa beans. Taste is lovely and smooth, light smoked character with some subtle chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Lovely stuff.
