50cl bottle from the Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt 2013 range. Very dark brown colour with a thick beige head. Very malty aroma. Not sure how much smoke there is. Some milk chocolate. It’s an ok choccy malty, slightly grainy beer. The smoke comes through on the finish. Some dryness on the finish. Some woodiness. OK. jtclockwork (16443) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 14, 2011

Bottled, 500ml from S.H.Jones in Banbury. Reddish brown with beige head. I did pick up a slight smokiness in the aroma which was followed by a peat bonfire note. There was also a sweet vegetable character, quite earthy, boiled malt flavours. Mixed but ok. Lubiere (13787) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 13, 2013

In mouth, a sweet perfumey chocolate with light peaty notes, molasses, nice. BeerandBlues2 (13210) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 8, 2012

Bottle at home. Pours deep brown, nose is light smoke, chocolate, sugary, taste is similar, dry. crossovert (12666) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 15, 2011
It pours a dark brown with a light tan head. The head sticks for a bit and recedes to a bit of lacing.
The smell is odd, it literally smells like sugar and oak, and that is about it; where is the smokiness?
The taste is buttery, with a fruity note and some wierd oak flavor. IT is also metallic. There is the slightest hint of a porter beer in here. It reminds me of malt liquor.
This brewery is jsut a major gimmick, I should have checked the label before i bought it, but the intrigue of the smoked oaked porter part of the label blinded me.
