UPDATED: DEC 26, 2017 Smågrumset, flot gylden, lille hvid top i glasset.

I love this beer for the Christmas season. Per the brewer: This Very Bad Elf is one fine ale - rich, hardy, and flavorful, brewed to an original 1795 Thames Valley recipe, with a very special pale amber malt that is rarely used nowadays, and balanced by a modest addition of English Fuggle aroma hops. weihenweizen (4204) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - DEC 13, 2017

Pours light amber with substantial head. Aroma is caramel and sugar. Taste is toffee with a building bitterness. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. An OK winter beer. nybol (2439) - DENMARK - JUL 14, 2017
En kraftig øl der har en stor maltet sødme. Jeg har fået den til ost hvilket den passer godt til da den tager den skarpe smag fra osten. brandon1989 (712) - Lewisville, Texas, USA - JUN 2, 2017
To be fair my bottle is a few years old 2-3. The beer pours a very hazy copper color with an extremely thin off white head that dissipated within a minute. The aroma is brown bread, alcohol, spices, some faint hints of caramel, and yeast. The flavor is caramel, brown bread, spices, some alcohol, and not much hop presence at all. The mouthfeel is medium. Not really a big fan of this beer. blackisle (2890) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - MAR 2, 2017
Bottle 50cl. poured into a pint glass. Clear pale amber, tall frothy off-white head, good retention and lacing; aroma toasted malts, caramel, yeast, spicy notes; taste light heavy sweet and medium bitter, malty, toffee, spices and herbs; sweetbitter aftertaste, malty, alcohol, herbal notes, very dry on the finish; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; decent strong ale.
