Ungstrup (37573) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2006
[Cask at GBBF 2005] A hazy orange-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with light notes of hops. The flavor is roasted malty combined with light notes of caramel, leading to a dry end. But the body is thin.

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Amber colour. Interesting candyish aroma with notes of flowers, oranges and licorice. Rather sweet and very light bodied. Delightfully drinkable, but the finish is slightly empty and metallic, and all the aromatic hoppiness in the nose has diminished to a vague hint of resin. Not exactly an Imperial IPA...

Beautiful amber color. Some malt aroma, and hops. A lot of caramel taste, quite poor hopping for an IPA, too watery mouthfeel.

Brown/gold in colour this has pine-like aromas. The body is thin, perhaps as expected. Doesn't excuse the fact that this is pretty thin.

Cask Handpump at the GBBF, Kensington Olympia 06/08/2003 Golden amber coloured and pale. Sour fruit flavour and a bitter finish.

From cask. Golden coloured. Fine little head. Floral-aroma, fine bitterness in the flavor. A bit thin. palate. But still a fine bitterness.

chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2004
A straighforward, but well made, traditional English session bitter. Lots of green hops in the aroma and a quenching bite on the palate. Dry, clean finish. This should really be listed as a bitter, despite the name. Whilst some might find this a bit thin, it is a very good example of the session bitter style, hence the overall impression is greater than the sum of the parts. An ideal beer for putting down a few pints without too much in the way of analysis. Handpump, Head of Steam, Euston, London NW1.

Cask at The Lord Moon of the Mall and Market Porter in London. Shared with chris_o the first time and then chris_o, duff, Spiesy, SilkTork, TheDM, and HotStuff the second time. Notes are from the first time. Bronze body. Mild hops mixed with light caramel and a pleasant malt aroma.Taste is floral hops, caramel and faint spice. Mouthfeel is moderate to full and creamy. Light carbonation feel. Some nice bittering hops during the finish along with faint caramel.

thedm (6179) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 4, 2004
The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 4. This draft brew on nitrogen from the Market Porter in London poured a small head of light brown colored fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing and a uncarbonated transparent brown colored body. The aroma was like dirty socks and the mouth feel was smooth with a mild hoppy palate. It had a mild hop flavor that was missing the typical hoppiness that an American would come to expect from their IPA’s.

SilkTork (5737) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2003
UPDATED: SEP 19, 2004 Feb, 2003: Crisp and refreshing with a pleasant, laid back hop bite. Americans will be surprised at how mild the hops are. [2.9}
Sept, 2004: The Market Porter Gathering. Dry. Apple. Dull. Worse beer of the night. [2.5]
