It’s not bad. Nice rounded taste in the mouth, full bodied, toffee malts. Bit sweet for me. Lonely old men drinking alone in the corner of the pub, roll ups, betting slip, pint of Old Bob. Nice bitter finish.
There was quite a flavour of sweet caramel to this beer and I'm not sure if it is something I particularly enjoyed. The alcohol was forward, but I keep coming back to that sweet caramel flavour. The uncharitable would say that this is a simple way to create an old ale.

500ml bottle from Asda. Pours quite a red brown with a small off white head. Aroma of dried fruit, with malt and hints of citrus. Sweet initially, with a little bitterness, flavors of malt, dried fruit, hops and warm spices.

Ciemny herbaciany kolor o lekko palonej obfitej pianie. Aromat cytrusow chmielu i ciastek. W smaku mozna jeszcze dodac orzechy i niezly slodko gorzki posmak. Niezle i bardzo "pijalne". SkillsFactory (738) - ITALY - OCT 2, 2015
Corpo medio, mediamente carbonata. canddw (102) - - MAY 8, 2015
Dark amber with creamy head and soft carbonation. Earthy, hoppy nose with a hint of coffee. Taste is earth, biscuit, toffee, hay and a gentle bitter finish. Smooth palate, nice beer.gegwilson (3827) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2015

Bottle from Morrisons. Pours with a light layer of off white froth. The taste is light peppery spice with some caramel and stewed fruit flavour. Some aniseed and a touch of metal too. OK. Cunningham (8530) - Halden, NORWAY - NOV 20, 2014
Lovely looking ale. Clear nutty golden color with a thick fine head. Nice lacing. Nice aroma. Some spices and balanced fruity aroma. Medium body. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Average carbonation. Fruity, malty, raisins and some toffee. Decent ale.
