KyotoLefty (10197) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 20, 2012
Bottle from Tanakaya. Malty, bready nose, light fruit, pears. Medium gold with a low head. Sweet, malty flavor, light spices, bread, cake. Ok bitterness on the finish, but low hop flavors. Very one-dimensional. Heavy, creamy, rather thick. Ok, but not my kind of tripel. Too cloying.

Bottle 330ml (from BBF, bottled 10/2014 or 13)
Hazy orange color, decent white head. Jammy alcoholic apricot fruity nose. Medium-bodied. Honey, apricot, banana in the sweet flavor. Quite heavy sweet tripel. More with alco punch than hoppy.

bonkiedeaap (750) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 12, 2017
Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel, Belgium. The beer is deep golden colored and has a small white head, with average carbonation. The aroma is very malty and bready, with light fruit notes, yeast, bread and a little spices. The taste is medium to full bodied sweet yet a little sour, with notes of malts, yeast and bread and later a light bitterness with spices and some fruits. The finish is light bitter, metallic and a little alcoholic. Not well balanced this one, boring tripel. Won´t drink this again.

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2007
A Sim rate (bottle courtesy of Reakt): Very obtrusive acidic aroma. I’m sure there’s some sweet fruit under the nail polish remover exterior. Amaretto in the flavour. Tastes like a copper penny dropped into an acidic drink (OJ?)... not that I do this on a regular basis to see what it tastes like, but this is what I’d expect it to be. Harsh at first, settling into a slighty sour fruit juice. Murky blonde/amber. Decent appearance. Bit of decorative lace.
