Bottle from Beerlovers: Very pale yellow colour, nearly no head. Aroma is sweetish with notes of tropical fruits and grain. Flavor is also grainy, sweetish, few fruitiness, some grassy hops. Very different to a barley malt beer, unusual but ok.

From Carrefour. In Teku glass. Watching Los Soprano 6x18. Odd vegetal and artificial taste with reminiscence to pear cider. Unpleasant. There are much better glutenfree alternatives, even industrial

Aus der Flasche bei Hopfenreich getrunken. Strohgelb mit weißem Schaum im Glas. Totale Milde im Geschmack. Mit nichts bisher Getrunkenem zu vergleichen. Hirsebier !!!!

Bio Bier. słod z prosa, jasno metnawe takie o jajecznej barwie. Smak bialka jajka i dziwnego posmaku chyba tego prosa. Może i zdrowe ale niezbyt smaczne dla mnie. Piana minimalna. Ogolnie dziwne to piwo ale do wypicia jest mimo sporej metnosci pijalne.

F: no-real, some bubbles with thin film. C: hazy, dark yellowish, non-transparent. A: sweet malt, earthy, biscuits, caramel, hint like sweet plums and apples. T: sweet, grainy/malty mostly, earthy, apples, sweet plums, toast, quite watery, some grassy bitterness, low body, average carbonated, for gluten-free probably ok, 0,33l bottle in organic shop in Brussels.

Pours a clear pale golden color, topped with a very small white head. Malty aroma, grains and funky herbs. Taste is sweet, malty with some bitterness and wet paper feel. Nope.

16/VI/15 - 33cl bottle @ John’s place - BB: 21/X/15 (2015-785) Thanks to Jolien for sharing the bottle!

Clear straw yellow beer, irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: weird, sourish, sugar, funky, sweet, almonds. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, sugary, bit malty, sourish touch, pear cider, weird. Aftertaste: little bitter, sourish, candy, funky, grains. Meh.

Amarillenta blanquecina muy turbia y con enormes trozos de sedimento. Escasa espuma. Olor a yogur de frutas. Sabor extraño, citrico y a cereal, como a papilla. Diferente...

fajry (2075) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUL 13, 2014
Flaša. Mútna, bledo žltá farba, žiadna pena. Vôňa sladová, zrnitá-obilná, zemitá. V chuti cítiť obilie, sladkosť. Žiadne telo, skoro žiadne nasýtenie.

330 ml bottle as “Moulin des Moines Gluten Free” bought at Organic Bliss in Causeway Bay.

Cloudy hazy pale golden pear juice colour with thin traces of yeast sediments; Razor-thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds and completely gone in 2 minutes; Zero lacing with bubbly small carbonation; Very sweet aroma of millet malt, with caramel, sweet pear juice, star fruit, plum, faint alcohol, and hint of rum raisin; Medium sweet taste of diluted plum juice and milky grains (millet malt?), plus very light caramel, thin syrup, faint wet cardboard, carbo, sour fruit notes, and light lemon; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is strange: no usual barley malt taste, instead it’s a juicy mixture of milky grains and diluted plums. Watery sweet, slightly syrupy agaves with light caramel, topped with slightly sour (not infected) fruity palates. Slightly papery but not annoying. Exotic and interesting… Hoppiness is no aroma, and light lemon in taste. No hops and no bitterness, just sweet and sour fruity finish; Wet after taste. Watery and fruity to mouth.

Comments: Definitely not the usual barley beer - it looks like a traditional African brew, with smell and taste like agave nectars and tropical sour fruits. Almost no trace of barley beer’s elements can be found here. Not completely off-putting, but I wonder if this is the right sort of alternative that gluten-intolerant beer drinkers have to put up with. For curiosity sake, it has killed the cat inside me. Not again. : (
