musinj6 (510) - Dedham, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 25, 2012
Pours a murky golden with less than 1 finger head that quickly dissipates. Heavy lacing. Black particulate floating. Banana, doughy with toasted malt and grassy hops. A hint of clove. Full bodied with soft carbonation. This starts sweet and is a little sour in the finish. A touch of bitterness to counter the sweet, but this is a sweet beer. Not bad. If it wasn’t for the black particulate (this is not typical yeast appearance), it would’ve rated higher.

Pours a straw coloration with medium, fizzy head and quite a bit of sediment. Smells of yeast and cough medicine. Taste is yeasty, with a hint of banana, but dominated by a medicinal booziness. This has all the disadvantages of a "high" ABV beer without any of the advantages. I think it's quite an achievement to make a beer taste this unpleasantly boozy and medicinal at only 6,5% ABV though. Terrible, I wholly regret not having poured this down the drain much earlier than I actually did. I still have that unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth, yuck. (Secret Santa 2017)

rand (1920) - SWITZERLAND - DEC 9, 2017
Bottle 33 cl / Hyperboissons - Doubs (F). Hazy golden blonde with a nice and persistent head. Aromas of yeast, banana, spices, flowers, esters. The taste is soft, lively, richly malted, with spices, always banana, chewing gum, physalis, grape, dry fruits, caramel. Alcohol, grassy bitterness give a smooth finale with touch of acidulity.

Tap. Murky yellow color with creamy white head. Aroma is bananas, cream, cheesecake, estery. Taste is full on milky yeasts, banana cream, sweetish warming finish. Medium carbonation. Good Weizenbock!

PowY (1157) - AUSTRIA - MAY 20, 2017
From tap at Wiener Bierfest. Hazy orange-yellow color with a white head. The aroma is yeasty with spices (cloves) and some notes of banana. Medium to full body with a medium sweetness and a light bitterness. The flavor is pretty estery and intense with banana, cloves and wheat.

Couleur jaune trouble, bonne mousse. Nez sur la paille et banane plantain sucrée. Gout vieille banane juteuse, confite avec blé et paille. Corps de smoothie. Fin de bouche un fruitée avec note aigres, astringente puis amertume herbeuse.

Bottle in the advent calendar. Cloudy yellowish colour, thick white foam. Very pleasant beer this, some good grainy wheat, well balanced and big fruity banana esters. Excellent, very nice.

Acheté au Hyper U de Riedisheim. Rieder Feinster Weissbier BOCK. Bière blanche. Touche d’acidité, elle a du caractère et de la douceur en même temps. Bonne bière, à racheter!

jaghana (6363) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - DEC 13, 2016
Bottle 33cl, a cloudy yellow beer, nose is nice on wheat, ripped banana. Aroma is on wheat, some astringency, mostly dry, pineaple body, slightly sour, should be a bit more strong. Finish on dusty hops, still ripped banana notes.

2.9
Blueshawk (464) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - SEP 17, 2016

33cl bottle from trade with Sebilinz, many thanks! (as Rieder Feinster Weissbier Bock) Pours hazy golden colour with a huge good lasting white head. Aroma of sweet banana and yeast. Taste of riped sweet banana, yeast, phenolic...
