Café, Sveavägen, Stockholm as Monks Bavarian Pils. Pale yellow colour, beige creamy white head. Aroma is hops, grass, some earth and mild notes of saltwater. Flavour is saltwatery, hoppy and quite much earth. Good pils, but a bit too saltwatery to be really enjoyable.
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2007 Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm Clear golden, airy head. Distinct spicy grassy hop aroma. Dry, fairly crisp and light bodied. Interesitng mustardy spicyness which is unusual for a German pils. Very dry and slim. Lingering bitter finish with a touch of metal. madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2013

On tap at Wallingatan Monks Cafe as Monks Cafe Bavarian Pils. Barman said this was a collaboration brew! Light haze on this pale gold beer, little white head. Palate is softish and a little dry with fine carbonation. Nice creamy malt, super light. Good floral tone - even a whisper of elderflower. Seamlessly integrated is a whisper of citrus hops. Finishes smooth. A really nice and super drinkable Pilsner.
On tap. Comes as "Monks Bavarian Pilsner". Clear golden with a creamy, white head leaving broad curtains of lacework. Clean aroma of malt and flowery hops. Medium body, clean malts and dry, flowery accents. Ends lightly bitter. Very clean and well crafted. According to the cellar master at Monks Cafe, Stockholm this is a variation over "Riegele Herren Pils". 011108Beerhunter111 (21756) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAR 9, 2014
