Absolutely clear pale yellow color forming a big and creamy white head with good retention and lots of soapy lacings formed and left in the glass. Very grainy nose. Strong notes of sweet pale malts and grassy hops. Very crispy mouth as expected. Grainy and biscuity. Slightly sweet upfront. Sweet pale grains and grassy hops. Citrus hints. Medium and very introduced hops bitterness. Light body. Average carbonation. Grassy and citrus persistent finish. Good drinkability. Clear golden with a large creamy white head. Aroma is grain, light floral, orange zest, minerals spices. Taste is light to medium sweet, light bitter. Finish is crisp with minerals, light sweet grain notes, light bitterness with floral and light grass notes. Light to medium bodied, crisp, average carbonation.
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2007 Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm Clear golden, airy head. Distinct spicy grassy hop aroma. Dry, fairly crisp and light bodied. Bottle courtesy WinterCoat. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and nice grassy hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter nice flaor. Average moderate bitter finish. More bitter than standard CGP. Oily palate. I like it.

Herber Kräuterantrunk, angenehm würzig, da mus ich unweigerlich noch mal auf die Zutatenliste gucken - nein, keine Sonderzutaten. Der Hopfen schimmert deutlich durch, da die Würzigkeit im Mitteil abnimmt ist er hier besser zu erkennen. Weiter herb mit deutlichen Kräuternoten, ebenso der Abgang, in dem das Bier leicht bitter wird. Schönes Pils.

On tap at Monks Cafe Sveavägen as Monks Cafe Bavarian Pils. Golden colour with a long lasting, white head. Nice aroma with honey and malts. Good, medium bitter taste with notes herbal hops. Light to moderate malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, faint grassy hoppyness. Body is medium, malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light bread and light grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light grassy hoppyness.
