COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 26, 2010
courtesy of Philipp Sigg and Thomas Schneider - bright and very clear golden colour, poor foam left; notes of malt with shy grassy hoppy tones; quite full-bodied and rounded palate; some late and decent bitterness; long malty and crisp finish

Bottle from Le Jardin de Bière, St Just Luzac, France. Amber in colour with a tight white head. Malty aroma of caramel and summer fruits. Flavour was sweet also, with a yeasty character and decent, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

I bought this beer at the Edeka supermarket in Freiburg im Brisgau. I drank at Bonfol before to go to a Basket game. In my point of view, it is a classical German Beer, they say landbier and I think that we are on the way of one Dortmunder export. The color is yellow and gold, the carbonation a bit higher than usual, thin and white foam. The taste is malty, a bit watery, some hop, there is a side really metalic. It is ok to start a night or the beer of the afterjob, easy to drink and acceptable.

Bottled:
Pithy, light hoppy aroma. Clear golden color, creamy head. Only light sweet flavor, more spicy and hoppy notes. Light bitter, a bit flat finish. Quite ok.

0.5 L bottle from my friend Bjoern brought from his home in Germany. Nose of grassy hops, with light caramel, banana, and a hint of bubblegum. Clear gold with a medium white head. Flavor is a hint of bitter and contrasting sweetness, pepperiness to the tongue, and a moderately bitter finish. Actually quite good!

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Testnotizen: Schöne urige Bügelflasche. Das Bier im Glas rotblond, herrliche Farbe mit guter Schaumkrone. Getreidig malziger Antrunk, dezentes Hopfenaroma im Nachgeschmack. Sehr lecker!

BlackHaddock (7583) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2013
Half-litre flip-top bottle: BBD May 2014, opened in a mates holiday villa in the South of France on 17 Sep 2013, poured into a UK pint sleeve. Golden, clear and bright with a large white foaming head, expected a misty ’landbier’ like you usually get. Soft in the mouth, smooth and semi-sweet, not too bitter or hop laden: malt notes ruled throughout the tasting. Nice brew and I wish I’d bought more to take down with me from Bad Krozingen.

0.5 l bottle as a present... Little red golden clear color, good head... Mild hop aroma with some nice fruity berry aroma, strong malt aftertaste... Intensive aromatic flavor... Interesting Land beer...

Tasting at Mr Smith’s Skyflat. Thanks to Mr Frog for this one. Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Light malts, not that sweet, A nutty floral mid. Forensic trace of citric hop. Very mild spice. Light dry finish. Clean and drinkable.
