Test vom 7.9.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,8,9,8,9,8 - 8,10

Bottled as Löwenbräu Buttenheim Weissbier, by 08.04.13. Stale air in the nose, pushing autolysis, even in the glass. Pours golden with a rocky white head. Rubber and plastic invade even the sweet malty taste, light yeast and strong citrus, watery feel. Would like to try again.

Mariusz (12072) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - SEP 21, 2012
Pours hazy golden with small white head. Some thin lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and banana aroma.

blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Draft as Lowenbrau Weissbier at Kellerwald. Pours hazy golden yellow with a white head. Yeasty and fruity, fresh banana, a hint of lemon, light clove-like spicy notes. Sweet fruity banana in the finish. This is damn good.

Bottle in Schlitz, labelled Löwenbräu Buttenheim Weissbier. Brownish golden appearance with a nice white head. Fairly spicy clove, somewhat musty/bready, moderately wheat malty, yeasty nose. A bit tangy/tart, quite yeasty and bready, moderate clove flavor with some other fruity esters but the yeast is at the forefront of the flavor.

Bottle. The appearance is hazy golden with a massive white hea.d Light spring water and banana nose. Classic hefe. The taste is more spring water, light wheat and more banana. Simple, clean, and uncontroversial. Overall, decent.

(bottle) pours a murky golden colour with a few floaties and an everlasting frothy white head. aroma of wheat and clove, with a hint of smoke, sulphur and herbal hops. flavour is mostly wheat and sugared popcorn, with light touches of caramel and grain. medium-bodied with way too fizzy carbonation.

Dedollewaitor (16381) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 31, 2010
Bottle @ Lowenbrau, Buttenheim. Pours unclear yellow with a creamy egg white head. Dry and fresh hefeweizen. A bit of banana and some citrus. Lively carbonation. Smooth palate. Good beer from a great brewery

Bottle. Sweet banana, orange, light clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange-yellow color with nice big head. Sweet orange, lemon, clove and wheat malt flavor. Medium body - low carbonation. Not bad, not great.

@Kellarwald. Very cloudy, yellow brown color with a huge banana nose with a touch of caramel. Very carbonated, almost prickling. Very clovey mouth. Big estry banana finish. Superb.
