Drake (14062) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 9, 2017
Bomber from the brewery. Brett E. couldn’t be bothered to make it to the tasting last night so he doesn’t get to try this beer which promises to be wonderful. Black, thin foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong coffee, strong roast, vanilla, whiskey. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, vanilla. Hints of whiskey. Medium bodied, mild booze, light on the barrel (a positive in my book). Nice beer.

650 mL bottle. Almost black body. Smells of rich coffee, bourbon, oak, vanilla, a little chocolate. Awesome. Tastes of strong bourbon and very smooth, rich coffee. Chocolatey and nutty in the back end. Dry oak finish. Medium body. Excellent.

Glad this is lower abv. Dark black No head. Pretty decent. Smooth. Not fair after drinking double barrel huna!

Tap at gravity. Black with small head. Strong coffee and light bourbon. Fairly dry finish. Uninspired and somewhat dull.

Dogbrick (13554) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2016
Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours pitch black with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, malt and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of bourbon, malt and coffee. The finish is roasty with an oaky bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

rosenbergh (11760) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 21, 2016
Draught at the Right Brain Brewery, Traverse City, MI. Dark brown color with some red hue and small creamy tan head. Coffee... so much coffee... and I can't get anything else. The flavor is... only coffee. I really can't get anything else out of this. Coffee overdose. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2016 Pours a dark black. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Extremely smooth for the abv. Light oak taste. Very well done. Tap at brewery.

Bomber. Black with a huge foamy light brown head. Chocolate malt balls, oatmeal, slight earthiness and faint woody whiskey. Sweet chocolate taste finishes with a dry woody flavor. Medium body with a foamy feel.

Great flavors. Bitter dark chocolate, highly roasted coffee, dried dark fruits, toast, oak and whiskey. A bit too thin to carry the oak and whiskey flavors, but still good.

ICEatALAMO (1352) - Troy, Michigan, USA - MAY 7, 2015
Bottle. The pour is dark with a lighter head. The aroma is mostly bourbon and oak, light smokiness and coffee. The taste is spot on, not too heavy on either bourbon or coffee, almost a perfect blend. Pleasantly surprised. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
