On tap at Mani. Pours near black with a light brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has coffee and chocolate with a light dark grain backbone. Flavor has mild chocolate, coffee and dark grains combining.

Tasty. Personally enjoy sweeter, creamier tasting stouts. However this does the trick! Better than most stouts out there. Its refreshing with a hint of beer and coffe taste. Cant write anything bad about it. Id definitely buy it again.

4pack of tallboy cans from Flicks in Lambertville: brown-black pour, thin tan head. aroma of coffee, molasses, rich chocolate. Taste follows suit with big coffee, herbal bitter, dark chocolate, bit ashy. thin palate. mood beer for me.

Purchased at Siciliano's Market in Grand Rapids, MI; enjoyed at home on a cool late summer evening. Appearance is pitch black with a rich tan head, looks great. Aroma is very much heavy on the coffee notes along with dark chocolate, smells awesome. Taste is very good, dry and bitter with espresso flavor, delicious. Would have again.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2016 Aroma is all coffee. Pours nice and dark with a thick dark mocha head. Taste is sweet...tastes like an iced coffee, which isnt a great thing in my book. Very little alcohol taste present. Nice and thick, but too sweet.

Aroma strongly dominated by roasted coffee. Hops just provide a generalized bitterness. Body is a bit light for a stout. Overall not bad, but fairly one dimensional with the coffee dominating and the stout a tad weak or lacking complexity.

Can courtesy of my boss. Loving this little collect em all puzzle on the can. Pitch pour with a mocha toned head that bubbles away to nothing. Delightful coffee presence on the nose, a bit of nuttiness, caramel, dark chocolate very faintly. Flavor is pronounced, lifted, and drinkable with a smooth, bright body. Roasted notes, combined with cola, glint of vanilla, and solid nuttiness to give it an admirable dimension. Finishes nice and dry. Really solid low ABV stout!

Can sampled @ Hopishop #3. Black syrup with no head. Nose is umami, herbal, coffee beans are big but they are more herbal rather than fresh roast. Taste is same big overly herbal coffee, dangerously close to vegetable, herbal, coffee, syrup, low chocolate, some roast. Big herbal coffee body. Espresso beans are a big here but too herbal for me, as opposed to fresh roast (not sure what the right term is but you know what I mean). Overall okay but should have been better.

This canned brew from a rating party poured a head of foamy light brown colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque except at the edges dark red brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow dark malt aftertaste. The semi-sharp flavor contained notes of roasted malt dark malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.
