Draft. Good hop aroma withe expected rye.... Rye was not too strong, which was good. I liked this beer withe exception that the one I had was a little thin and watery. Maybe I need to try another.

On tap: The aroma contains lots of rye as well as moderate floral and citrus hops. Its a transparent amber with a small off-white head. The flavor starts lightly fruity. The finish has moderate rye and citrus hops. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Solid, but Im not the biggest Rye IPA fan.

Draft sample at MBGF Summer 2009. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrus hop, rye and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy rye bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met with a good complex beer.

Draft at the brewery. A good amount of rye bitterness on the nose and in the flavor. Almost just a bit too bitter with nothing to balance it out. A good one for rye lovers, as it packs a rye punch.

MiBG Summer fest 2009, Saturday session: Deep golden hue with a small but lasting frothy head. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, rye and wheat husks, dusty yeast esters, and a hint of rye whiskey. The taste is rye and acidic fruits upfront supported by biscuity pale malts, dry hop bitter finish. The mouth feel is crisp and refreshing, lively to hit the spot. This is well done and does display lots of rye character. Yeah!
