On tap at shakesperes, Kalamazoo MI. Dark black pour with a thin layer of light brown head, served in a goblet. Lots of lacing. Little creamy, little smokey like a bonfire. Thick foamy mouth feel, very low carbonation. Well blended flavor, chocolate and a hint of smokey finish, a little dry. Last time I had this at right brain it was woodier/smokier, a lot more character. Hope to try it again.

Keg at the brewpub. Dark brown, Medium fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate, smoke, ham, roast. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, mint, a mildly smoky finish. Medium bodied, smooth, lingering bitterness. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - MAR 17, 2017
Aromas of smoky bacon, dark chocolate, and savory notes along with some spice and a fair smokiness. Dark brown to black pour. Medium bodied, oily, fair carb, smoky meaty finish. Cool to try, not incredibly smoky, just a nice brew. weihenweizen (4051) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JAN 18, 2017
Refrigerated brown bottle from FlandersNed poured into a glass. Black with small/medium beige head. Aroma is dark malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is smoke, chocolate, salty, and a little meat. svandyke (257) - USA - JAN 7, 2017
Bomber- Good dark color. Head seems to be lasting nicely. Dark malty smell with chocolate. A bit salty in the beginning, but the chocolate porter comes though with a hint of smoke. The smoke then shows up in the end. Still something about boiled pig parts... bpar73 (1177) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - NOV 13, 2016

Sample at the brewpub. Pitch black color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium body with a smokey malt and barbecue character, with some coffee and chocolate in the background. The finish is smokey salted meat and malt. It’s a gimmicky premise but an above average beer overall. rosenbergh (11759) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 21, 2016
Draught at the Right Brain Brewery, Traverse City, MI.
Dark reddish brown color with a small tan head.
Bacon, mild smoked ham, toasted malt and some sweetness in the aroma.
The flavor is roasted malt, hops, coffee, some sweetness and dryness... The poor piggy ain't that evident in the flavor.
