Alengrin (5257) - BELGIUM - OCT 2, 2014
"Bičre blonde des Flandres" made for the French market and since years brewed by Haacht. Snow white, creamy, medium thick, sticky head, very pale golden blond colour, clear with calm sparkling. Aroma has DMS (cooked vegetable) apart from grass, dough, cloves, minerals, green apple, apple peel and some ’wet dog’. Rounded, soft palate, sweet to the point where it almost becomes sugary, apple, fresh and light, grassy hop bitterishness in the finish with somewhat astringent, gin-like alcohol. Straightforward and clearly Duvel-inspired, but not at all of the same level.

Can from Carrefour, Nice. Ordinary lager tasting beer, golden with no head. Slightly strong but just about palatable.

Bottle from a French supermarket. Pours golden with a white head. The taste is pretty lagery but fuller flavoured. Spice and syrup. OK.

Pils kleurig bier met een witte schuimkraag. Veel CO2. Smaak erg zoet ( te zoet) gedronken in Frankrijk

Bottled 08/08/14. A blonde beer with a white head. A nice hoppy Belgian Strong style ale. Good booze and nice hops. No spicy sting but seems to edge towards Duvel territory. A bit of bread in the malts. Nice stuff.

Mothroy (91) - - AUG 25, 2014
Bottle at home. Mid golden colour with a sparse white head. Clean, wheat, maize and malt body balanced with a powerful hop bitterness. For a strong beer a distinct lack of sweetness. Very drinkable but dangerous.

Puha, krémes habbal a tetején csordogál poharába a a főzet. Erőteljes, kissé szúrós szagú, fanyar élesztő uralja a képet, mely mögött egy igen élénk, csípősen savanykás, lényegében számottevő utóíz nélküli test húzódik. Meglehetősen homogén ízvilág, ez azonban nem gátol meg abban, hogy egy kellemes darabként gondoljak rá vissza a későbbiek során.

thewolf (12535) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2014
Bottle. Pours very clear golden with a small, staying, creamy white head. Aroma has metal, maize, esters, malts, light grass. Medium to low carbonation, oily and fat mouthfeel. Flavour has sweetness, quite warming viniousness, a tad boozy, apple schnapps, malty, some Belgian sugar. Short, rather sharp finish. Blah.

Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 28, 2014
from Morteau, France - clear dark golden beer with a modest foam left; estery and sweetish fruity aroma; very sweet and full-bodied, light spicy and acidic; lot of residual sweetness and more estery fruity tones

2.4
Helsdon (375) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 16, 2014
Blond orange with a little cloud. Finger of white dense head. Nose of malt a little bubble-gum an some bitter hops. Malty up front, bitter hops, surprising honey sweetness on the finish. Feels like it’s missing the whole yeast profile that makes Belgian beers great. Alright beer but...
