My "copain" brought me one back from his trip to France... Wish he hadnt. The first swig was pretty "interesting", then all down hill from there. Reminds me of Kabukicho a bit... Not complete #SHIT

pours clear golden yellow with a medium white head and some lacing. aroma nutmeg, banana, belgian yeast. fruity flavour, quite fresh and not too sweet. light body, short finish. 8.5% alcohol is barely noticeable.

A blonde beer with a white head. A nice hoppy Belgian Strong style ale. No spicy sting but seems to edge towards Duvel territory. A bit of bread in the malts. Nice stuff.

Cerveja provada em lata, sendo assim as notas de aroma e aparncia podem no representar a realidade. Alto teor alcolico, caracterstico das strong ales, porm muito perceptvel, o que atrapalha o paladar.

33cl in a neat Rince Cochon glass, at the La Terrasse des Remparts bar in Lille (France, 29 V 2015). This Belgian brew is a contract beer for the French beer market. The bottle beer I got looked like a beautifully served, refreshing draught beer. The presentation - appearance, colour, glassware - is very appealing, yet a bigger longer lasting head would make the beer score better. Beautiful, hazy amber to golden coloured liquid with, as mentioned, little white foam on top. Perfect balance between a malt and a hops nose. The taste is nothing wonderful, but definitely decent. The carbonation is medium, the alcohol is rather powerful. It made me somehow think of Moortgats Duvel. I can digg the sweetness, a bit above average for such a brew. For me: A nice medium bodied strong ale, flawlessly balanced as well. You can drink a few of these on one evening, before getting bored or wasted.

Robe blonde et limpide. Pas de mousse. Saveurs lgres de caramel, banane et agrumes. On ne sent presque pas le malt et le houblon. Assez bon quilibre, carbonatation plutt fine. Texture lgrement paisse. Assez longue en bouche. Lalcool est bien cach. Une blonde correcte.

Color dorado con espuma poco persistente. Aromas a malta y caramelo, no se percibe lpulo. En boca es dulce y se nota el alcohol

Arrived as beer number five in Rorys Belgian Ale beer fest. By this time I just found it funny. Little bit sweet without any hop or malt complexity, maybe.

02-13-2015 - A very funny bottle, and a nice beer in it. Better than the rouge one.

Tasted 19/3/15. BB 15/04/2016. Poured a crystal clear amber colour with a one-finger white foamy head that retained OK and laced OK. Carbonation moderate and fine. Aroma malty with no obvious bitterness. Taste of sweet caramel with no real bitterness; alcohol well hidden. Aroma and taste light considering high ABV. Light body. Smooth, soft, crisp but best drunk cold/cool. Another macro-lager style.
