3.5
ERB92 (810) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2013
Dried fruits, syrup and coffee. Almost black with a red tint, small disappearing off white head. Medium to heavy sweetness with a light bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. Overall a really enjoyable beer, surprisingly good for a Ringnes brew.

Very dark red brown pour, with a small tan head. Definite caramel malts, some coffee and some spices in the aroma. Thin mouthfeel, somewhat disappointingly low bitterness.

Bottle. The strong alcohol note in the nose reminds me of licorice and anise in Jagermeister. Dusty and dirty and foul smelling. Medium body, oily and chewy, sweet and syrupy and olive-like. Gross.

Key words : Tasty, thick, alcoholic finish. Work this beer 1-2 % down and i will be happy to re-rate it to around 4.

morri (277) - NORWAY - NOV 15, 2013
330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Dark reddish brown, almost opaque body. Medium light brown head which settles quickly. Lots of tiny bubbles. Aroma of coffee, toffee, amber and soy sauce. Taste is quite gentle, a little sweet, some burned wood. Very well balanced. The high ABV is barely noticeable. A little thin mouthfeel. All in all a positive surprise.

Several vintages. It’s 9.0% for some time now. Always a treat - dark fruits and syrup - but the competition is hard (and sometimes better) - especially from the Norwegian microbrewers. Prolly the only product from Ringnes worth buying and ageing.

On 33 cl bottle, vintage 2009, abv 9.0.dark brown, almost black color- still good foam and carbonation. Good malty aromas, dried fruits , light roasted Aromas, coffee, licorice. Full body & high complexity . Some sweetness, ok bitterness- very well balanced- edges are rounded off with some years of storage. Very enjoyable

Deep red wit a short offwhite head. hops malt and dark fruit. sweet taste with a malt caramel end.

The best Ringnes beer ever! Bitter and heavy - not so common from this brewery. Coffee and spicy christmas, but when the temperature increases, more taste and aroma of dark fruits appears.
