UPDATED: OCT 14, 2016 Not much of an experiance. A very regular pilsner. A bit citrus in the taste. Watery texture.

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
A "summer beer". Needless Norwegian "tradition" created by the industrial breweries where they sell lagers that tastes like watered down editions of their regular lagers, slam the word summer and ansun on the can and sit back and wait for the money to pour in. If it isn't raining. This one is watery, grass/hay flavoured and with a sour lingering bitterness. Archipalago beer indeed.

33cl can from Meny Bjølsen, Oslo. Pours pale yellow with a small, white head. Grainy aroma with some slightly fruity notes and hints of honey and cooked vegetables. Sweet and grainy and not much flavour to speak of, but a light bitterness. Standard pale lager, not from the top shelf.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Light straw colour, thin head. Pleasant crystal clear appearance as with all pale lagers. Taste is like cold, carbonated water. Refreshing, yes, if you have fainted, and someone tries to wake you up by splashing cold liquid in your face. Unfortunately, "summer" in Norway means that a plethora of this kind of beers are popping up on the store shelves.

Gyllent med lavt skum. Anonym duft av vått gress og grønnsaker. Smaker høy og knekkebrød. Metallisk mot slutten. Ikke veldig friskt.

Bottle. Supposedly a summer brew, this tastes more like a bad premium to me than something to bring along to an outing by the sea (as the name suggests). OK head but almost no aroma, taste watery and metallic with hardly any malts and hops. Not very good.

Uit blik. Ruikt mout, palmachtig. Smaakt zoetig, caramel, mout. Niet vies, maar uiterst matig bier.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2014 Very pale straw colour. Quickly receding white head. Unrefreshing aroma of sweet malt, straw and cardboard. Similarly unrefreshing and uncrisp taste and mouthfeel. One of the worse of the Eurolagers.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Can from the Mini Pris in downtown Alesund. Poured a crystal clear light straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light malt, The flavour is light bitter with a weak watery hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Don’t they have a tasting committee at Ringnes to make sure things like this never leave the brewery? If they do, it’s not working. If they keep brewing beers like this they won’t be in business for much longer. Truly awful and some more.
