Previously known as Best Bitter. Rebranded November 2015.
The perfect supping beer! Our first brew and still the New Forest’s favourite tipple. Under the name Best Bitter was awarded Bronze Medal at the Munich Beer Festival in 2005.
Nose: Tempting hop aroma with fruit notes.
Palate: Good malt feel in the mouth, dry, tangy fruit finish.
Comments: Delicious, easy drinking slightly tart pale bitter.

JorgeLee (2134) - Greater London, - FEB 14, 2013
Cask in the North Star, NW3. Dark brown coloured bitter, not much of a head. Feels like an old school English bitter, more at the malty and fruity end. Not very strong flavoured but disappeared rather quickly so I guess very sessionable.

Cask at The Sarsen Stones, Farnborough. Floral aroma with malts. Amber. Good thick off-white head. Sweet. Slightly sour. Malt base. Medium bodied. Frothy mouthfeel. Abrupt finish. Goes down inoffensively.

BeerViking (4908) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2017
Cask at the Globe, deep brown, slightly woody caramel nose, malty, lightly sweet and not so bitter, seems a tad oxidised.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2017 Not a fan has a flat sour taste. Once you get used to it its just watery and bland. Shockingly bad really. Might have been a bad pint. But I dont particular care to try a better conditioned version.

Pours cloudy golden with low white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, light citrus. Taste is mellow sweet with a lingering floral bitter finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.

On tap at the Old Vine. Aroma is a little fruity but not much, and the flavour has bread, malts and grapes.

Pours ochre with a light head. Sweet and bitter, fairly flat with an aroma and aftertaste of stewed carrots.

Strong tasting bitter. Pours dark brown with white head. Good strong hoppy taste

Scopey (14977) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2016
Cask as Razor Back at the Porter & Sorter, Croydon. It pours clear rich amber with a thick white head. The aroma is brown bread, cereal, nut, earth and cereal. The taste is bitter - sweet, wood, cereal, toasted grain, brown bread, nut and light spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Great condition. Pretty alright actually.

2.8
Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2015
Cask at The Woodman, Durham, £3.30/pint. Deep brown coloured beer with a thick, off-white head. Both the nose and taste are bittersweet and characterised by cereal grains. Sweetness comes through harder on the late palate, with fruity melon notes detectable. Drinkable but pretty dull bitter.
