Cool bottle - the boar with tusks looks awesome. Bur that’s definitely the best part of this beer. Metallic skunky flavor and smells awful. rejtable (2885) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2013
Quite liked this one. Some solid malt backing with a nice lingering bitterness and some breakfast tea flavours. Good effort. foyle (435) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Appearance: ½” off white head that recedes quickly, leaving some lacing. Color is copper with moderate carbonation bubbles.
Aroma: floral and spicy hop nose. Smell of biscuits or bread dough
Mouthfeel: medium bodied, somewhat sticky and chewy with a semi-dry finish.
Flavor: combination of breadiness, a little toffee sweetness, and earthy hop bitterness. Nicely balanced. Bread in a glass for sure.
Overall: a classic example of an English Session Pale Ale. Well done Shipyard! zvikar (6575) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - JUN 25, 2013

Bottle shared at a tasting at our place. Clear to hazy dark gold with white ring. Honey, a little mold and floral aroma. Oldish, bitter taste and some honey. Medium body, smooth texture, syrupy finish.

not sure what to expect, got a bottle from a friend for a buck.. . pours a deep marmalade amber .. great foam, tons and tons of lacing .. . lots fuggles and old fuggles, caramel too with an underlying shipyard dead yeast feel .. . decent enough for shipyard, would love a super fresh sample direct from the brewery because i suspect this is either old or perfect condition- who knows .. . . Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear copper-amber color. Aroma of stale malt, light fruitiness, caramel and a bit of earthy hops. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, stale notes and a moderate earthy hops finish. Medium-bodied. beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - MAY 11, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass.
Slightly hazy light copper color with a small off white head.
Earthy hops, caramel and some honey on the nose,
Marmalade flavors, medium bitterness, biscuity malts and some alcohol.
Medium body, quite balanced and true to style. AndyW68 (1641) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 5, 2013
Orange gold with white head. Aroma and taste stale malt with sweet orange. Not something to look for. Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Bottled. Poured clear, brighter orange with a creamy beige head. The aroma picked up bready and fruity notes with herbal and orange peel accents. The flavor found sweet honey and bready notes at the core, with orange peel and spiced fruity notes around.. finished tangy over sweet malt. Lighter-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. smooth feel on the middle with good transitions.. solid stuff.
