Old Thumper Extra Special Ale was created by veteran British brewer, Peter Austin, founder of Ringwood Brewery in Hampshire, England and mentor to Shipyard’s master brewer is a non-traditional English bitter, brewed in the US solely by Shipyard.

Amber, large head, didnt notice much fruit in the aroma. very quaffable, malty , with a nice light bitter finish. Pretty decent.

Large tan head with some sticky lacing. Clean clear amber color. Malty fruity nose. Medium body. Very clean malt flavor, some chocolate undertones with a breadiness also. Fairly dry finish. Decent brew.

Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
