english strong? if this is strong, i'm a fuckin' cape buffalo with lou ferrigno as a personal trainer, 'cause i whuped-ass on this dainty little beer. questionable categorization aside, the thump pours a deep vibrant orange-- the color of most traffic lights i race through. dusty burro light tan head is big and fluffy. peach pit aroma, a bit of cardboard, and grass not quite autumn dry. creamy across the palatte, elegantly so; lightly sour moderate bitterness is what stays with you, quickly overcoming a brief short bread cookie sweetness. if it's cheap, it oughta be a player among the early evening beers. Dark golden color, tan head with some large bubbles. Raisin, dough, spicy nose. Almost has a whiskey taste, toffee, caramel. Spice lingers at the finish. Tasted slightly stale. loweredsixth (946) - Clovis, California, USA - MAY 3, 2003
Pours an inunspiring copper color with a white head. the aroma and flavor were surprisingly sweet..caramel or toffee, malty, caramel apples, pear. Nice.Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - MAY 3, 2003

Okay beer. Nothing really distinctive about it's aroma or flavor. Some hops, some maltiness, but really not much of anything.
Very clear light copper body, head was short lasting, good lacing. Thinner bodied with lightly caramel malts. Hops were also thin and not long lasting. This lacks "oomph". pivo (2685) - GERMANY - MAY 3, 2003
Fruity nose of apples with cinnamon. Orangy-amber color and frothy head. Substantial malt body with a nice hop finish. There is a slight chemical-like aftertaste that I didn't appreciate. Fizzy mouth feel and medium bodied.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2003 Big, lofty and lasting head above a clear amber. Mouthfeel was soft, light, maybe even a bit watery with a light carbonation. Malts had notes of caramel and toffee, though subdued. Lingering bitterness has a flowery aroma. Only slightly cloying. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - APR 27, 2003
Malt alcohol nose. Light red color. apple malt taste. Thin. Not much going on here. BierBauch (784) - Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida, USA - APR 20, 2003
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2005 In a blind tasting, I think anyone could mistake this for an English ESB. Actually a very good ale that reminds me alot of Fullers and other English brews. Nice bittery malt flavor that intensifies as it warms. Overall a good ale that I will buy again. Dogbrick (13388) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 19, 2003
600 beers with no end in sight. On draught in the terminal of the Orlando airport. One of the more entertaining names for a beer I have seen lately. Pours a light amber color with a thin white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is malty with a nice fruit bouquet. Buttery caramel malt flavor was nicely sweet over a medium body. Very light hops in the finish. Not too complex but solid. fiulijn (20992) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 1, 2003

Light amber color. Poor aroma. Pretty smooth, a residual sweetness and some caramel, but not enough malty nor hoppy.
